The Crisanver House is a very special place. It provides a charming and elegant atmosphere with a stunning mountainview backdrop! For our wedding, our families stayed at the bed & breakfast. It was wonderful for them to enjoy each other throughout the whole weekend, rather than just the few hours of the actual wedding. The beautiful house and amazing grounds were an incredible space for everyone to relax, swim, play tennis (real or table), or to simply enjoy the fresh mountain air with a warm cup of coffee. It was perfect. Not only were our families able to stay at the b&b, the wedding cocktail and reception were held there as well! The cocktail hour was outside on the front grounds of Crisanver – wonderful space for relaxing, mingling, and of course pictures. And the reception was held inside of the Millenium Barn – which is stunning in its own rite. Throughout the night, guests were able to wander in and out of the barn, enjoying the beautiful deck, surrounding grounds, mountain view, sunset, and stars. It was wonderfully elegant, yet casual and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for better. Finally, Carol (our main contact person) was incredible. She was available and accommodating, but always discrete. We never felt her imposing presence, but we always knew that she was there and available if we needed her. Wonderful! We’ll always have fond memories of Crisanver, and we’ll be sure to be back for many vacation get-aways.

My girlfriend and I recently spent a weekend getaway at the Crisanver House. We had initially booked a room in the main building, but when we arrived there, we asked our hostess if we could instead upgrade our selection and stay in one of the separate cottages. Our hostess (and co-owner of the B&B) Carol was very sweet and gracious and accommodated our request. Crisanver House is beautiful with amazing views, the grounds are peaceful and quiet, and make for a nice relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. Our meals were delicious and lovingly prepared. Carol was wonderful in a nutshell - she was warm, made us feel welcome, and very kind, as was our waitress Andrea. I would go back there in a heartbeat. Note that getting internet coverage could be a bit tricky in the cottages - we had to walk the short distance to get closer to the main building - but if always staying connected on WiFi is essential, perhaps Vermont is not the best place to go anyways :)

Our five-night stay at Crisanver House was one of the most relaxing vacations weve enjoyed in years. Our room was both extremely comfortable and impeccably decorated, as is the entire house. Carol, Michael, and Andrea are superb hosts – always helpful, and ever ready with recommendations regarding local attractions and activities. The staff is wonderfully friendly and attentive. The grounds are beautifully kept, and we made good use of both the tennis court and the swimming pool and enjoyed local theater, restaurants, and historic sites. We looked forward to Carols absolutely delicious breakfasts every morning and couldnt decide whether we enjoyed them more in the beautiful sunroom or on the deck, with its spectacular view. We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to return another summer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crisanver House. Carol made us most welcome despite our early arrival and we were able to enjoy relaxing at the pool, taking in the glorious views. We were served a delicious dinner looking out across the tree filled valley and watching a glorious sunset. Our room was well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace listening to some glorious birdsong and appreciating the beautifully tended gardens.. We would have relished making use of the tennis court but injury prevented this. We did however avail ourselves of a delightful walk through the surrounding woodlands. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We had such a wonderful time at Crisanver House. Carol and Michael were very welcoming, even when we arrived late at night in the wrong car (you need a 4x4 if its snowy!) and Michael had to come out with sand. The room was beautiful with a super comfy bed, breakfast was delicious and theyre so accommodating. We certainly didnt go hungry! We had two dinners at the house, both of which were delicious, and we loved relaxing by the fire and going snow-shoeing in the nearby woods. We skiied at Killington, which was about 40 minutes away, but Okema is closer and we hope to try that next time. We will definitely be coming back to stay again! Thank you!

For us the lodgings were quite expensive but we decided to push the boat out a bit. The setting was idyllic and I loved the walk around the property, down to the pond and through the wood. The house itself was lovely. However, while acknowledging that we happened to be the only ones staying in Crisanver that night, it was disappointing that we could not eat at the house on our night of arrival, given the overall cost of accommodation. Carol was very good and hospitable, as was Gail who served us breakfast. Nice but expensive and in order to justify the price I think one needs to make more use of the amenities (pool, tennis court, boules...).

We went here for our Honeymoon in mid December and it was the most perfect time! We stayed in the Shrewsbury Cottage, which was so incredibly cute, for 2 nights. Our favorite features of the room were its fireplace, big cosy bed with a mountain view behind it, and of course the whirlpool tub! Carol was such a great host, greeting us with a bottle of wine on arrival, making our dinner reservations at recommended restaurants, everything was taken care of! Not to mention the beautiful breakfast that was served each morning! We truly enjoyed this mountain getaway and cannot wait to go back!

Carol is a great host, phenomenal chef and very helpful and interesting person. After talking with us a while she suggested things we may like to see and do in the area taking the weather into consideration. We had dinner there one night and it was superb. The room as well as the remainder of the Inn was clean, beautifully restored and welcoming. Michael was also very interesting and fun to talk with. The views were very enjoyable and we had a great overall visit.

Our stay was for two nights in October over the Columbus Day weekend. From our drive up the gravel driveway, to the various buildings throughout the acreage, my wife and I were both amazed. Carol, Michael, and Gail were outstanding hosts. The room, dinner menu, and environment was beyond five stars. Looking forward to another outstanding stay with Carol and Michael in the near future! Thank You both!

We loved our stay and hope to return. The hike we went on was the best of a weeks hiking at 3 different places. We enjoy staying at a place with land and space to walk around. Watching the sunset on the deck was a favorite and also the quiet rooms for reading, when we were not hiking. Meals were excellent. We relaxed on this trip like no other trip we have taken.

The Crisanver House is the perfect place for a get-a-way. It is quiet, peaceful, lovely and spotless. The grounds are magnificent. The pool is beautiful, there is a great tennis court. There are gardens to roam about in, wild blackberries to pick and lots of butterflies and birds to watch.
