OVERVIEW - 4.2 Came here to the Distant Worlds Concert for Final Fantasy after a friend of mine had offered me a free ticket. It was amazing! The acoustics in the auditorium was great! LOCATION - 5 Abravanel Hall has a great location just kiddie-corner to temple square in Downtown Salt Lake, and the UTA blue line train leaves you right in front of it! PRICE - 2 Even though I didnt have to pay for my ticket, I found the price a little steep for my liking. ($65 for the second floor balcony) PRODUCT/SERVICE - 5 The performance from the Distant Worlds Orchestra was stunning. There were several times I got goosebumps. POINTERS/PERKS - 4 I would recommend sitting on the second floor balcony towards the middle or perhaps another floor for the best sound and view of the stage. Try to figure out which floor you are on before standing in long lines on the first floor. I couldnt tell by my ticket what floor we would be on. EMPLOYEES - 5 All the employees were extremely polite, and dressed professionally.

My wife and I saw Holsts The Planets by the Utah Symphony at Abravanel Hall. Apart from the inspiring performance, the venue was gorgeous and its unique architecture is a treat in and of itself. The staff was polite and knowledgeable. Our seats were upholstered and comfortable. As an acoustics student, I can attest to the responsible design of features of the hall that make for phenomenal acoustics, especially for music performance. More exit doors would have come in handy when the performance ended, but it wasnt terribly inconvenient. The TRAX station right outside makes this an easily-accesible venue. Hope to visit again soon!

This is a beautiful concert hall! Its very easy to get to, whether you pay to park right across the street or at the expo center next door, or you take Trax to the Temple Square stop (in the free fare zone). If you really love the symphony, I recommend going to the lectures before performances, and arriving early to hear the live music in the lobby as well. Also, definitely look into Vivace! Nothing beats taking a free shuttle out to a local bar after the performance to visit with fellow symphony-goers and musicians!

It gets at least a couple stars just for having a Dale Chihuly glass sculpture in the lobby. Its modern, but classic. The facility is aging well. Ive been here a half dozen times over the last 20 years in a variety of seats. Ive always felt they were fair seats for the price. This event was great and I was on the third row. No complaints. Ive been to a couple VIP events, and the side rooms to meet the cast are nice, and the catering is good. I like that they have a wide mixture of artists perform here.

Abravanel Hall is a stunning place to enjoy a night of music. The acoustics are great and the styling is beautiful. The seats are comfortable, but leg room is limited which makes for difficult access to middle seats. Parking isnt an issue with City Creeks large underground parking just across the street. There are many other sights to see in the area and plenty of restaurants to eat at. I sure do love going there!

The abravinall hall the die sign is cool but the music was boing it was just like any other syphony the building is made out of wood but it doesnt do anything to the sound. People say it was cool inside but it wasnt that noticeable at all the coolest thing is the shandler it is made out of gold but it was not notice able ether it is just like a high school symphony un

This is a nice venue to see the Symphony and other big name acts. It beautifully and simplistically adorned in faux gold with excellent acoustics. Parking is a challenge but such is the case for a downtown venue. There is a coat check and a basic selection of refreshments. If youre looking for a fine wine selection....well...sneak it in yourself....

Good place for a concert, however I dont understand how this place isnt a fire hazard. There is no center isle even though there are doors on either side of the main seat flooring it takes forever to get out. I cannot imagine getting stuck in there if there is ever a fire, How is this legal??? Are there no laws in Utah with fire codes??

Fantastically beautiful and has excellent seating for both listening and viewing. The Utah Symphony (which is one of the most common performers here) is phenomenal and the other performers dont disappoint. There are a number of annually reoccurring events which are also extremely entertaining, notably the Messiah Sing-in.

Many years ago when I first started attending concerts I was a little disappointed on the "simpleness" of the design of the concert hall. However, in years since I have learn to love the venue and found that there are very few bad seats in the house. I love the hall and the concerts it hosts!

Beautiful hall with great acoustics, and a very satisfying and diverse offering in programming. Most seats are very good. Their ticketing people are lovely to work with. The featured Chihuly glass sculpture is stunning, but needs a bit of careful dusting. Perhaps its not possible...

An impressive building. Large, elegant, and the concert hall is acoustically impressive. Even on the third floor seats in the back, I can hear quiet and subtle notes from a single instrument. Parking is nearby and you need to pay for it, but worth the cost of admission.

Loved being there for the Gina Bachauer Youth Piano competition final. The 5 finalist each played concertos with the Utah Symphony and they were amazing. The competition was at such a high level and the music so moving. Loved it and hope to be back next time.

Beautiful venue. I saw a combination Ballet West/Utah Symphony performance. It was lovely. I cannot wait to go to my next show. Beware the brief intermissions, I had to literally chug hot coffee in order to make it back to my seat.

This place has a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly! We go to see the Utah symphony on occasion, and the acoustics are great throughout the performance hall. This is a beautiful place to spend a night out.

The architecture of this concert hall is fantastic and I love coming here to listen to the Utah Symphony. They have a coat check that costs a dollar. Before some of the shows, theyve had musicians performing in the lobby.

Very, very nice. Volunteered for a Dave Ramsey event in June and the site was great. Lots of nice seating, very comfortable atmosphere, well-trained, nice staff. Would definitely go again for any event in the future.

Great place to see a show. Kind of dated decor, but it is still super nice. I can only imagine the sound is great everywhere. The front row is lower than the stage, so be prepared to look up if you get close seats.

Attended the SuperHero show which was an eclectic mix of Movie scores and soundtracks. Abravanel Hall was a comfortable place. Great show, fun and upbeat. Orchestra sounded great. Guest conductor was very good.

Nice vintage music hall, lots of close by parking and great sounds. Seating is tight and could be much more comfortable. Clean and ok service. Would like more and better snack and drink options though!

The venue is beautiful. There is a breathtaking sculpture in the lobby. Even with being built in the late 70s, its quite uniquely cool. The acoustics are great and I loved the chandeliers in the concert hall.
