I have stayed at several Crown Plaza hotels and this was by far my worse experience! I was in town due to the passing of my mother. My brother booked the room for me through Expedia. After returning to my room on the second day, it was discovered that our room was only partially cleaned. There was dirty towels left on the floor, one of the beds was not made, dishes from the day before where left in the room. I immediately contacted Charles, the house keeping manager and explained the condition of my room. Charles apologize and told me that we would not be charged for our stay. 2 weeks later I called and spoke with Ted the hotel manager, because we had not been refunded our money. Ted assured me that he would call Expedia that day and get it handled. Also my brother and I where flying back out to Phoenix to bury our mother, Ted offered us rooms at a discounted price for our inconvenience. I still have the voice message he left me. When we arrived at the hotel on the 6th, we where told that there was no reservation. After playing the voice message off my phone and holding up the line for 15min, they gave us a room. When I checked out of the room, I received our bill with the correct amount being charged to the credit card. When my brother got his bill instead of being charged the $161 as our bill stated, he was charged $233. I have repeatedly asked for the owners information , so I could ask for their assistance with this matter, to being told by several people that they cant give out that information. As of todays date we have not received the refund from our original stay and Im still waiting to see if we where charged the correct price the 2nd time.. Not only was our stay heart breaking, but this Crown Plaza made a very difficult time for me, and my brother even more difficult.

The hotel itself was decent. I wouldnt call it 4 stars but it was clean and bug free. What really got me was the valet service. Because we booked through a 3rd party site and drove an older car we were treated poorly. This is not the first time this has happened at a nicer hotel when we didnt book directly through them. The "free" parking is a joke. There are maybe 40 spots and the rest are reserved for the valet. An entire parking garage to be exact. Upon first pulling up, my husband got out to check in. The valet guys gave him weird looks and you could tell they didnt want him parked there. There isnt much space for guests checking in. Only right by the valet podium or on the wrong side of the street. One of the valet guys kept pacing by our car, looking at me and then walked around to the driver side, opened the door and said he needed to move the car. He asked if that would be OK. I was caught off guard by this since my husband was only checking in and there was NO line of cars behind us waiting for the valet service. I awkwardly agreed so he jumped in and pulled off to the WRONG side of the road. He jumped out and thats when my husband walked out of the hotel. Then the valet guy very rudely said something like "sorry bro, I really had to move the thing." That thing? Just because its an older car it falls into the "thing" category I guess. Also for being "4 stars" they dont even offer free bottled water, just some grimy cups and city water that not even city residents drink ( mostly because it smells like poo )Wont be staying here again.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever had in my life. Booked the hotel due to its proximity to the airport, I drove here from Tucson - wasted 3 hrs of my night after being told by management their "free parking" was full, and if I wanted to park my vehicle, I could pay a garage down the street - and take a shuttle to the hotel? After demanding a refund outside to the absolutely rudest valet boy ever, the manager told me to hold on second - hed help me out. He then left for 20 minutes to drive a shuttle to the airport, leaving 2 completely incompetent and incapable employees at the front desk alone. They stated they couldnt help me, because they didnt have the power. They radiod him and he stated hed be back shortly. After he came back, he didnt even apologize, just made excuses about how it was a very busy weekend: my response was, then dont sell anymore rooms. All in all, I left at 11pm, in search of a new hotel so I could fly on my trip Saturday morning at 7am. I drove down the street to a 2.5 star hotel, and received 5 star customer service. I absolutely wouldnt recommend this location to anyone. As a small business owner myself, this was the epitome of poor customer service and defiantely lost my business for ihg for life. My job roomed me here on a business trip...I would not personally pick this place again. More cons than pros. Cons: -no complimentary breakfast at all, not even fruit -spa was not working, went and asked manager about it, said be would check with his maintenance guy and never came back. Couldnt find him after that...or any other staff for that matter - really understaffed. There was only one receptionist who was very sweet, but way overworked and stressed out! She was sweating trying to help the counter customers, answer phones, schedule drivers, and so on. Poor lady is probably underpaid too. -no bellboy to help people with their luggage -no valet parking or even a greeter to help people unload their car -Shuttle was running late...saw several frustrated people who were waiting a while -only saw one person at the restaurant who was both seating people and acting as a server. -food is ridiculously priced! $13 just for 2 pancakes! Add $12 for 2 eggs and bacon! Really? $25 for food that wasnt even that great!? PROS: -room was clean -walking distance to sky train to airport

Toilet overflowed at 11:30am, engineering unable to fix it so they moved me out of my king sweet into a room with 2 double beds. Apparently a bunch of rooms are having plumbing issues. The engineer was very nice and helpful but the front staff was not. Called down to speak with the manager and they keep putting me back to the operator and then they said they couldnt find the manager and he would call me back, waited for an hour no phone call returned. They said their not able to accommodate me with another sweet, must have given it to someone else. Today I Left for my daughters game at 12:30 housekeeping cart was in front of my room when I return back at 5:30 my room was still not cleaned, I called the front desk and they said oh you Must of had your do not disturb sign on your door and I said No I didnt. For the amount of money you pay this hotel is not worth it.

Absolutely Horrible Customer Service. the valet parking employees were incredibly rude. a female employee constantly ignored us when we tried to ask for help, and another worker was going around cussing his head off while i had my two 5 year olds with me. i asked for the manager and he was the only one who actually proved to be useful. we got to our room and there was no toilet paper. i called the front desk and asked if we could get some more. the girl on the line was snarky and told me to get it myself. the room was smelly and the food was too expensive. a simple muffin was nearly 4 dollars. for a 4-5 star hotel, that was the absolute worse customer service i have ever experienced. i could go to a 1 star hotel and get better service. i never plan to go there again. i dont know how they get away with being called a great hotel with their horrible employees.
