First off let me say I rarely review anything. That being said I like to be as fair as possible when reviewing. I very seldom give 1 star to anything because one tiny thing was off like most people do. Anyway lets dive right in. I came specifically for the cable park. When I pulled up to BSR I was pretty amazed at how beautiful this place is. Walked through the front door and I was greeted by a very polite owner. The place was spotless. Very clean. Decent music playing as well. He talked to me for a while asked if I rode much just general chit chat. It was comforting since I dont know any of these people. Walked out to the dock and thats where is started going downhill a bit. There werent many people riding the cable but they were all really good. That doesnt bother me a whole lot because Im here to work on me and not worry about them. The (right out of highschool) cable operator was horrid though. He had gauges and would blow cigarette smoke right in your face (probably not on purpose). Very entitled attitude. He also gave very little input or tips when I asked. He would scoff when people messed up. But the worst part was the puppy he had sitting next to him. Everytime that dog tried to get up or move around a little bit he would turn around slap it pretty good. That was just uncalled for. Sure discipline your dog but do it the proper way not whacking it just for moving. There was another guy sitting by the cable operator who acted the same way but smoked an E-Cig cant tell if he was an employee or not. But he was just as bad as the cable operator attitude and ego wise. (Side note) I see a lot of people complain about muddy water. Its not really a big deal. This isnt supposed to be white water bay or something. Plus they are concreteing the lazy river which should help with the mud. Its dirt. Get over it. They claim to be the best cable park in the world and I actually believe it. However, if you are not a confidant rider that can do all the "pro" tricks you will not feel welcome AT ALL. I would be more tempted to give this place a 2.5 stars but Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt that I caught them on an off day and round up. I do not plan on coming back anytime soon. However I may come and ride again if they cross my wake in the future. (Bad pun intended)

WORST place EVER. They took $50 non refundable upon entering. I now know why. 2 Hours in line in hot sun waiting to get inside for tickets. 1 hour waiting for filthy tubes to be aired up. 1 lazy river ride in a filthy stinky river so full of people you could barely float. And just so disgusted finally decided to just chalk it up as very expensive lesson learned and drive back to fort worth with 3 sad tired grandchildren. Im a grandma on a very limited income $150 is a lot for me. If theyvwould have refunded my $50 I couldve taken my grandchildren to a more suitable place. I brought my mom who has Alzheimers she had to wait inside with the children taking turns sitting with her for the whole 2 hours. Then tried to find shade while tubes were aired up. 1 person filling everyones tubes by the way. The 3 young men behind us in line were cussing and talikng extremely vulgar. I had to ask them to stop.I was concerned with all the open drinking. Grandchildren quickly explained to their parents when we got back home about seeing several people smoking from a giant Hookah. Parents wondering why I didnt just get kids and leave at this point. Me too by the way. It was my granddaughters birthday wish to go here and she asked me to wait out the lines. But after one float in the river she was ready to go. None of us wanted to get our face in the water. This is more an atmosphere for college party. Not family oriented. Not for people who shouldnt stand in the hot sun for hours. Everyone was furious about the lines. 4 people were taking money for what looked like about 1000 people. I have pics of the line but dont want to share other people publicly without their consent. sewage on the ground. Parking blocks away from tickets, etc. With gas, foid, and tickets $200 for 3 hours sranding in hot sun and 1 filthy disgusting river ride. I wouldve been dusappointed to leave but wouldnt have felt so cheated and deceived if they wouldve just gave me my $50 back and let me leave. But once I spent $50 non refundable just to enter the gate I didnt have enough to go to another more appropriate water park with the children. Surely they made enough money to b able to refund people who realized they made a mistake and wanted to leave? Why trick people like that?

The cable park was awesome!! The lazy river is kind of narrow but we met a bunch of really cool people on it! But.... the staff is TERRIBLE! Except for the boys helping out with the tubes, they were wonderful. Okay so first, I lost my phone in the restaurant/bar upstairs so I went to the bar to see if anyone had turned it in. One of the bar tenders told me no I havent seen it. I went back to where I left it and the guy who had turned it in to THE BAR saw me looking and told me it was at the bar. I made him walk up there with me to get it and he asked where the phone was that he just turned in and she goes oh ya right here. I confronted her and said you just told me you didnt have one, her response was "I forgot" so that was the first thing that happened at the bar. The second thing was my friend who was a little tipsy ordered 5 shots and was charged $69 dollars. She didnt say anything about it to the bar tender but came back to the table and said something to me because I had been drinking water all night so I went up there and asked how much the shots were and she wouldnt give me an exact price, all she kept saying was anywhere from 7-10 dollars. I said well according to what you charged her that would make these shots 13.8 dollars a piece. She said where is the receipt? I said you didnt offer her a copy. I said I used to work in a restaurant and I know you can look up the receipt in your computer. She goes and whispers something to the manager then comes back and asks for the card it was purchased with. She gave her the card and she went and looked it up. She goes oh yeah you got 8 shots and they were 8 dollars so the price is right. I said excuse me she only ordered 5 shots and I have a video to prove it. As soon as I said that she goes okay Ill just give you the cash back, no problem. I told her how unprofessional and dishonest she was and she had no response. I wish I would have gotten her name. It was the worst experience Ive ever had at a bar. MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU SIGN IT! Those 2 girls were terrible people. I wish I would have gotten their names. Other than that, the water park was so much fun!!
