I was a member here and the place should never be called a country club. Course is a great layout and has the maintenance of a briar patch. The customer service is horrible. They treat members and guest as if they dont care one bit if they spend money there or not. Theres a large carry over of members from when it was Briarwood and they are the type that are rude, drunk, belligerents who try to start fights with anyone not in there group. The manger and head golf pros are puppets to the older belligerent, rude members. This is the white trash of country clubs. Very unfriendly place, ran like a poor municipal course. If you want a real country club with any class what so ever and are wanting a relaxing game of golf then go to Holly Tree or Willowbrook.

Played the course for a charity tournament in October. The course was nice, with a few holes that stood out to me, with 5-7 other holes being average. What makes Cascades stand out is the clubhouse/pro shop and other facilities. The clubhouse is beautiful and has a great view over the first tee and the lake. The pro shop is well stocked and the staff was helpful. Driving range and practice facilities were some of the best Ive been able to play.

Good course and great potential but terribly ran. Golf pros let groups of 6 and more tee off together so its always jammed up. The bartender let an acquaintance of mine charge drinks and food on my memebership when I wasnt even there which is comepltely unacceptable. The members are more laid back and less snobby than hollytree and willowbrook which is a plus. The course has the best views in Tyler. Just needs new management all the way around.

This place is a joke. The business I was with got a membership. It later moved to Dallas before we moved we went in and canceled it. 3 years later they sent over $3800 to collections and it now dinged my Credit Report. Very dishonest company and people working there STAY AWAY it may cost you THOUSANDS!!!

Enjoy my rounds I have played here. Great layout with plenty of forgiveness room for your average golfer. Cart staff and pro shop staff were pleasant. Not a bad place to play if you know a member.

Nice course with friendly staff! Greens werent as nice as usual, but this visit was the only time Ive ever seen them less than perfect. Youll enjoy it no doubt!
