Local Pour has an identity crisis. Is it a bar with a restaurant, or a restaurant with a bar? Our experience last night indicates the former. It is a glitzy establishment, the bar is energetic and the patio has a very pleasant view. The draft beer list is nice and offers a little bit of everything. But the food surely doesnt shine, at least not last night. Our spicy spinach artichoke dip wasnt the least bit spicy, unless you count overly salted as "spicy". The cheese was melted, but the dip was barely warm. The crabcake entree was just plain mediocre: mushy, tepid, and lacking in flavor. Accompanied by very chunky asparagus, the dishes only saving grace was the remoulade sauce. The cheese plate was uninspiring, one cheese selection was incorrect. I was left wondering how each piece of cheese was in an exact triangle... Service appeared to be okay, but our waiter couldnt remember whose cocktail belonged to who when there were only two of us at the table. And this was well after the evenings rush had slowed down. He was enthusiastic, but not all that well trained. When he took away an empty beer glass, he didnt ask if I wanted anything else. Protocol, normally, for most servers. Self parking is also an issue. I dont mind valet parking in middown, downtown, or uptown, but this restaurant is in a shopping center for goodness sake! There were less than a dozen spots available for self park in the parking garage! There are so many choices for dining and bar experiences in the Woodlands that I doubt as if we will be returning to Local Pour anytime soon, at least not for the food.

Server issues This was our first time visiting Local Pour and it was our anniversary. We were seated by the host (very nice) and had our drinks and appetizers delivered by our server Forrest in no time at all time and as soon as our order was placed it went down hill from there. Our drinks ran out before our entrees were delivered, mind you by another server. We were told that they would send over our waiter and he did not come. 10 minutes into our entrees being delivered we had to ask another waiter to get us new drinks, which he brought to us and our waiter Forrest still did not come. We finished our meal and only then did Forrest come and ask us if we were ok. Never once did he apologize for not being attentive or even come over and address the long period of waiting, but was cold and did not speak to us after we asked for our check. We got our check and he never addressed us again. We had planned on staying and ordering more drinks and enjoying our evening, but that was cut short due to the poor service. Unfortunatley we watched him as he was too busy attending to a party of business men drinking. Thanks Forest for a not so great anniversary dinner that we were celebrating. The food was good but the service sucked.

This place is absolute crap. Went with five friends on a Sunday night (August 9, 2015) around 8:00, place was half-full. We ordered drinks, and for fifteen minutes the drinks sat at the bar. The bartender (who is awesome by the way, her name is Katie) brought us our drinks. I ordered a bowl of chili and a caesar salad. Now, you would think that would be impossible to screw up but you would be wrong! 25 minutes after we ordered, I get the salad and the chili at the same time. For the last time, you incompetent servers, food runners and managers: THE SALAD IS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT BEFORE THE ENTREE. Re-read what I just said until it is etched into your brains. The chili was ice cold so I sent it back. Ten minutes later, a manager brings it to me and it is still ice cold. I told him I didnt want it and had a liquid diet for the evening. Thirty, yes, thirty minutes later, the server (her name was Epiphany) asks me where my chili was. At this time we were getting our drinks from Katie at the bar, and Epiphany was absolutely clueless as to what was going on. BEWARE!!!!

This place is fantastic, while first having doubts that it would be a typical experience with mediocre food it wasnt. They have an excellent layout at the bar with large, legible descriptions of each beer. Even in a packed house the bartender was super helpful and prompt when getting to us and recommending beers. There was a wait of 45 minutes and they definitely need more seating but I wont dock them on that as it wouldnt be an appropriate reflection on the restaurant and staff. The food is fantastic and our waitress was very helpful and friendly when we were seated. The macaroni is delicious and is a must try! Only a few things Id improve which is the initial hostess that informed us that it was a 45 minute wait spoke to us like she didnt want to be there. The hostess we spoke to after her was nice enough and had energy about her. Overall, Id say this place is a definite place to try out if youre in the woodlands but if youre going to be there during a busy night anticipate a wait and very little seating at the bar!

After three sub-par visits, its time to leave a review. On all three occasions, the service was sort of slow. Not terrible, but slow. My larger issue is that on two occasions, the beer served was not what was ordered. Even after asking about it, they gladly got us another, but was still wrong. Probably a line being mixed up, but not something I expect on two separate visits. They also took care of the drinks in terms of the bill. I appreciate that, but would gladly pay for the right one. The beer selection is alright. Nothing to write home about (at least according to the printed menu). Lots of standard Houston beers. I get it... theyre called Local Pour...but would like to see a little more from the local brewers that is beyond their normal, high volume tap handles. Can be a cool place with some adjustments. But in the mean time, there are other bars in the area of youre looking for a solid craft beer selection.

Ive been here twice before, both fairly positive experiences. Loved the beer selection and the LP BLT was pretty good. On my third and final visit, I only waited 30 minutes after being seated to ask the hostess who my server was supposed to be. I think I made eye-contact with my server from afar, but, alas, she must have been assigned a different section. My entourage of two opted to "try again" with another seat. After 15 very thirsty minutes of the same old song and dance, we had enough. I caught the shift leader, Nicole, on my way out to express that I was leaving after over 30 minutes of waiting. This sucked because I was looking forward to another LP BLT but I decided it might be quicker to hike to the nearest pig pen, harvest the bacon myself and cook it over a smoldering coal. She did apologize as she showed me the door.

Firstly- no reservations for parties under 10 people. However, our party of four was seated in about 20 minutes on a Friday evening at 7pm, (the place-including the bar seating was full). Secondly- Waaay too noisy with tables so close everyone had to speak up to be heard. Waitstaff was initially quick to serve, but then forgot us as food was delivered piecemeal and refills were forgotten and with a reminder still VERY slow in coming.Thirdly, food was nothing to write home about appetizers and four different entrees all were mediocre. Good things- The beer selection is great and it will be a good "bar" watering hole with snacks for the 20-30-40 somethings that are looking for action as there was A LOT of that going on when we were there, (Mid July 2015).
