I really like that the Nessler Center is very close to where I live. However the Free weight room is Terrible and the cable work out equipment is Very Old and its Very Uncomfortable for Woman your basically sitting on top of each other No room to move around the room is way too small. The Elliptical and Treadmill area is Good could be a lot bigger machines are a lot nicer and up to date. The Aerobic room not the best but it works its just old and the floors are not good. The saunas and womans locker rooms are nice. I have just been to a lot of different fitness Gyms and they are a lot nicer. Texas City makes a lot of money with all the new schools, churches, Grocery stores, new roads etc. I would think they could improve these areas maybe in a Different location not meaning to move Everything but a least think about these particular areas at a different location. The old HEB building would be nice or even the Mainland Church on Palmer just an Idea. However I still enjoying going to Nessler and still and working out.

Pros: Excellent price Great way to cool off A section for toddlers and younger kids Lazy river Larger slide Cons: -Theres a water fall in the center of the river but its useless and you cannot be in it -The rules are hit or miss- sometimes they are enforced and at other times they are not You have kids who are prolific swimmers who cannot use the larger slide because of height and then you have kids who cannot even swim using it because theyre 48 inches -The life guards are unruly and playing most of the time I just watched one jump from a wet concrete platform to another platform SEVERAL TIMES (the platforms are probably about 3 feet apart)... I thought they were suppose to set an example The life guards watch kids doing rough horse play like pushing kids under the water and I dont hear any whistles -The cleanliness is mediocre...its not filthy but its not clean either

My group of 15 kids was lied to about refund policy and hours of operation. On a rainy day we were told no refunds would be offered if we paid but didnt get to swim. That same day we were offered a "rain check" so the life guards could close for the rest of the day. We had swam for a few minutes before the weather got worse. We were trying to wait it out. We came back today to be told they were closed the rest of the day because of weather, despite some drizzle and the sun being out. As we were leaving, I called the manager, Mr Martinez, he informed me they had just opened back up. I didnt want to turn my group around just to be guarded by people who would rather not do their job of keeping children safe. Great pool with misinformed and unwelcoming staff. Today anyway. It only takes one time for a life guard to not care, for your child to get hurt.

As a former lifeguard supervisor, Im very disappointed in the work that Im seeing at this pool, one guy was just leaning on the front of the stand with his tube strap off and his tube floating in the water. The girl across from him had her legs up on the lifeguard chair and was leaning against her tube taking a nap I guess. And the girl who was supposed to be roaming the mini lazy river was sitting down with her tube strap off playing with her whistle. Now I dont know how the lifeguard courses work here in Texas City but with my experience all of these things are big problems and jeopardize the safety of the children swimming.

Me and my kids absolutely love this place. The reason that I give it 4 stars is because the bathroom situation is definitely a concern for me. Obviously the floors are wet but for some odd reason they constantly smell like urine ..... I have visited several water parks in the area and not one of their bathroom floors smell like urine. So we use the family restroom that tends to be a lot cleaner and dryer floors lol ..... but all in all we really like this place and will always come back, definitely a regular summer hangout spot for me and my boys age 8

Small water park is awesome. Great if you have small kids so that you can keep a eye on them at all times. Only thing I do not like is teenagers being allowed to cling on each other kissing while there is so many small kids around. I feel like its very inappropriate and shouldnt be allowed. Other than that its awesome place!

This waterpark is very fun for friends & family but their "rules" are not so great. One of the lifeguard said we cant bring coolers or "outside food" this include drinks expect water. I think its because they sell food/drinks & just want money out of it. Kinda not makes me want to go again

Staff is unprofessional and inexperienced. We left when the began playing hardcore rap over the PA system right next to a sigh that states "NO PROFANITY" Pool is open from 1:00pm till 6:00pm. and admission is only seventy five cents. ( Which probably explains all the problems.

its a pretty cool place to spend time and have fun with friends I really like that place its like a water park well it is a water park but so close to my house and I love it I go to the nessler for water fun ! You should go too if you havent !

We were so impressed. They had something for everyone. Impressed with the facilities, but most importantly the lifeguards. We havent ever seen such attentive and skilled lifeguards ever. Hats off. Highly recommended to anyone.

For the price its great BUT the lifeguards are allowed to pretty much do anything. Ive seen some nodding off, on their phone, talking and not paying attention. The city needs to address this with management.

Love taking the kids there. Adults watch your kids and have fun with them. It is All about the kids having fun. And they do, at least i know mine do.

I enoy taking my grandchildren twice a week. Very inexspensibe. A life guards at every station. And the faciliry is completely enclosed and safe.

This place doesnt have a open swim pool all it has is a huge lazy river it does have 2 30 foot slides and a kids area with a buuky in playground.

Super fun for kids. Low price to get in. Its small, but fun place to get in a pool. Nice play area in water for toddlers too.
