So visited this location, while entertaining a client for my company, which my company suggested I go to this spot because it was a nice atmosphere and good drinks, friendly staff, perfect place to take a client to show them what San Antonio night life has to offer and bring their business to the city, and future business. So Friday night I take my client there and we grab a drink and we are sittiing talking with a group of people sitting down outside at one of the table and couch spots (because when me and my client arrived we saw some areas had been reserved which had signs on them, and this group saw us and they asked do you guys want to sit with us and of course we said yes...The young ladies told us if we want to get couch seats we have to get there early like they did because if you didnt they are most likely taken because it is first come first serve if they are not reserved. and we asked O you guys didnt reserve and they said no usually we get here pretty early before all the unreserved tables are taken.. so We have a nice night talk with them and laughing then it was time for them to go so they left and we decided to stay it being just 2 of us we let people come and sit while waitress came and gave us drinks and we enjoyed ourselves while waiting on some fellow business owners in san Antonio to get there that I had contacted so after I noticed one of the bouncers and a waitress looking around then they talked among themselves and a group that showed up that they gave hugs and chatted to. Soon after the bouncer approached me and asked if there was anyone else in my party and I answered yes I have some people coming he left then came back and said unfortunately me and my guest(client) are going to have to move ...I asked ummm why is it that we have to move, he replied "this table is reserved...I replied how is it now reserved... he says O all our tables are always reserved and a couple that was standing by and said umm no that is not true all your table are not reserved like that the ones that are reserved have signs on them and if you are sitting there they ask you to leave they are reserved all night... then he looked shocked and lowered his voice and said ummm well it just got reserved... so I asked when did it just get reserved he says ummm1140pm which it was now 1150pm I said wow thats how you do business (and I could see that the group he was trying to sit there are friends of his or the waitress)so then I go inside and ask for manager which they say manager is not here but the waitress is like yeah that how we do business so I said wow... and my client is in shock because he had hear much about our company San Antonio, and this establishment. I apologized to my client and said hey I know another great bar we can go to and my client was so dissatisfied he welcomed it along with the 2 couples that witnessed how we had been treated, I could not believe what had just happened to me, my client says "go to the news a establishment should not conduct themselves in that manner and there are rules and regulations in place to stop that. So what was suppose to be a good night and great business turned into something else now that client is spreading the word that you establishment conducts business that way and I honestly let it go but today when my associate brought a client from another company in and wanted to take him out and says okay just dont take me to the paramour bar.. so of course my associate ask me what happen because his client heard that from my client I was shocked. So words gets around and I know owner does not care about the little people (well company is actually really big) but having your staff act in that manner is wrong but if you have a policy saying at anytime a table that you are sitting at can become reserved and you will have to move and go to stand some where that is a weird policy. And your waitress and you bouncer knew they where wrong you could tell in there body language and tone, and the couple that left said they where being racist to us and I just said no just bad situation

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to Paramour. I was excited to visit Paramour because of the spectacular view they were supposed to have, and in fact the view was quite impressive. However, as soon as we got upstairs and went to to the bar, we encountered an extremely rude bartender. We asked for a drink with an energy drink, after he told us there were no energy drinks we asked for cranberry juice instead, he proceeded to speak to us in a demeaning manner and then commented "repeat your order." My boyfriend and I just looked at each other because we were completely taken off guard by the tone of this bartender that completely lacks basic customer service skills. Once we signed for the bill we understood these bartenders feel they are entitled to treat their customers poorly because they automatically get gratuities regardless of the service they provide. After we received our overpriced drinks we met back up with our party and they had exactly the same story of another bartender that served them! They were served by Corey, our bartender was working along side Corey but we did not get his name. We went to Paramour with the intent of spending a bit more for drinks, which was ok with us but the we did not expect such bad service. There were clearly over served people throughout the bar. The restrooms were clogged with vomit and there were other people sitting on the floor intoxicated. The staff needs to be properly trained to not serve customers who have drank too much, along with the proper customer service training. I do hope Mr. Ware takes these suggestions into consideration.

Upscale, trendy rooftop bar with artisanal cocktails and a decent selection of beer. They offer tapas such as meat and cheese platters (charcuterie). They have nice looking leather couches, chairs etc. on the rooftop but you need to make reservations for this. Otherwise you are relegated to the poormans area where they dont even have any wait staff and you will probably have to sit on a stool at a counter. Still a great view in this area though, just make sure you know what you are getting into. There is also an indoor area on the rooftop if you would rather hang in there. Dress code - they dont really have one but I recommend dressing up in the evening. Although when we were there on a Saturday night (between 7p and 8p), there were a couple of people inside in shorts and t-shirts. As we left the establishment, we overheard the doorman turning a couple of guys away because they were wearing baseball caps. They also mentioned something about the tennis shoes they were wearing but I didnt notice exactly what the issue with the shoes was. This place is also open during the day as a specialty coffee shop and they have a small donut and pastry offering.

I love this place during weekdays. During the weekday, the place is quiet and not too busy. The speedy drinks and great view complement good company perfectly. Ive only ordered off of the special cocktail menus and I have never been dissapointed. Just make sure to not over do it, because the drinks are just as strong as they are tasty. I have also gone on the weekend around midnight and it was like an alternate universe. It was so crowded that we couldnt even find a seat. Everyone there seemed professional, so if you are like minded it is pretty easy to socialize just by asking what someone does. Good place to find a golf partner or your next doctor husband. The appreciation I had for the attention to detail they gave as they assembled my cocktail during the weekday went out the door as I sat budding for a drink in a 4 person deep crowd. I cant really complain that "this bar is like a bar" on late weekend nights. I can only recommend you go with a few friends on a weekday at sunset for happy hour. I think thats when this place shines and when it shines, it shines with 5 stars.
