Ladies, real cowgirls, do not go here if you wear something that covers everything a city girl thinks a real cowboy needs to see to get a good mans attention. You be very disappointed. Youll stand there all night shaking your head at the "street walkers in boots" smile and dance with the "urban cowboys" knowing that those girls cant mend elk fence, work cattle, or put in a long backbreaking 14 hour day of laying 12 inch gated flood irrigation pipe for as far as the valley will let you see in Wyoming and missing real cowboy that wouldnt have given them a second look. And DJ that screamed "Welcome to Texas B****" to the outside speakers as I was walking to my vehicle, that is plated in Nebraska, thank you. But since I didnt have a way to reply I just wanted to let you know I actually spent the first like 5 years of my life here in Fort Hood, Texas. My family and I traveled to Germany for 3 years after Texas,Louisiana, I finished high school and a few year of college in Michigan, some southern states, then Wyoming in 2007, Nebraska for the last year or so ish, then made a big loop. You would have known all this if you would have no judged me on my clothes, boots, hat, skin color, where you thought I was from or about. But thank you from the bottom of all of us real cowgirls and cowboys hearts for having packed like this to keep those city folk where they belong. And to the one couple I could find that didnt look like they were going to a Vegas Rhinestone Rodeo and being respectful of this woman and she had enough confidence to not show her goods, thank you for recommending some better places in Austin.

Honestly if I could select zero starts I would. My buddies and I (were all military) wanted to check the place out, bc we had herd mixed reviews but most were decent. When I first got there I was having a good time. I was the DD So I was letting my buddies drink. One of the bouncers told my buddy he couldent drink for 45 minutes. So he waited his time, went and spoke to the same bouncer who then gave him the thumbs up to drink. My buddie went to the bar bought 2 beers and as he was sitting them down at the table was asked to leave. Now mind you we are all military police and in no way was my friend disorderly, Belligerent, or viewable in any way other than a guy having a good time. These guys that work here are crooks who simply want to take money. If you are military, watch out bc Im sure these sick people target us bc they know we cant do anything. I strongly recommend Wild West to everyone. I will never be back nor will I ever recommend this crooked establishment to anyone

I went to Cowboys for the 2014 Star Party, had a great time, and then for the last act was pulled out of the crowd and told by one of the security members there that "drinking alcohol is illegal under the age of twenty-one." I have never been so insulted and confused in my entire life. One, I am not stupid, I am aware of the legal drinking age in the United States. Two, my friends and I had not consumed one drop of alcohol prior to coming or while at Cowboys. We went to watch the concert to have good, clean fun, and instead were kicked out because the not-so-bright people running the place told us someone supposedly saw my friends and I drinking, not someone that works there I might add, just "someone." I paid to see that concert and was kicked out based on false accusations. I will never again be attending Cowboys.

Im sorry.... I used to love this place... until the day of veterans day where I wanted to celebrate there out of all places. I couldnt dance with my partner without the bouncers taking our FULL drinks and tossing them in the trash, it happened 3 times that night, and when my back was turned, an individual was looking at the bouncers moving in on my beer and tossed it away. When I addressed politely to a bouncer instead of the manager to keep it low key, he smerked at me as if I was crazy and stated it was new bouncers... another mishap was when my bf wanted to request one song as an anniversary present, the dj turned him away, my bf asked again if he can play this song, the dj said looking at his equipment "I dont know"...If I shall ever return, the manager will be notified.

It would not surprise me if this place has trouble getting repeat business from customers considering while wating for three hours before a concert we heard the same songs at least 4 times from the DJ. Not only that but the opening act sang some of the same songs the DJ had been playing. The DJ should know what is on the set list and not play these songs beyond the fact that they should not repeat songs in the same night. There are thousands of song choices for couples dancing and the selection was pathetic at best. I noticed that a good portion of the attendees were of age 40 or older and Im sure they wouldnt minding dancing to a variety of country from the past decades.

always a fun time, i go as often as possible with my friends and we always make some awesome memories each time. great music, great dance floors, bouncers are so nice & the people in general are fun... would recommend if you are into the country stuff... the only weird thing is when "gangster" type people go in there i feel uncomfortable like Im a country girl i wouldnt walk up in a booty popping club in some wranglers and boots and just look at everyone... why come into cowboys in Js and sagging pants and look at everyone like theyre crazy... but other than the occasional thing like that its a great place.

Great concerts, great venue. Plenty of beer stands in all corners of the place so no lines if you just want beer. They also have at least two full bars that usually move pretty quick also. Bathrooms are abundant and pretty clean - no lines. Nice sized dance floor but it sometimes fills up for live concerts so you may not be able to dance - but who cares? Domestic beers are $4.75. Since I only go for concerts, I am not sure what the cover on a normal night is. Staff (even the bouncers) are all nice and very respectful - unless you get out of hand I assume.

Its a great place if you enjoy hanging out with lots of kids under 21 and unfortunately they dont play much country music.. I understand there is a need to change up the music, but when you are billed as a "country dance hall" and less than 50% of your music is actually country, maybe its time to get a new DJ. :( This place was so much fun a few years ago, and now its one of the last places I choose to go, and when I do its only because a friend has decided to have their birthday celebration. Would love to see RR go back to what it used to be....

Went to a rodeo there! Yes there are rodeos there!! Not just dancing, half of this building is a dancehall, nice music, bar, dance floor, the other half is a small indoor arena area with bleachers for bull riding! I brought my 2 kids and we watched the bull riding. It was a nice small setting. We left around 1030. It was a safe area although a club is connected. Police on site and monitoring the area. We have went twice now and will be going again! Id like to have a date night there and enjoy the dancehall!
