This is a great public Muni course that I have played for 20 years. It was redone a few years ago (I am not sure exactly when) and is one of the best "bang for your buck" courses I know. Interesting layout with wonderful water features, elevation changes and decent greens. The course is not long but has a nice hill country feel. Though it is not "easy" from the back tees. You have to hit some good shots at this track that is full of challenging tee shots and approaches . The price is also good ($35weekend) at "Schreiner"... as locals call it. The bad side of the place is there is always a full parking lot so rounds can run long. Also, NOT the most Texas friendly staff in the club house. They give you the what do YOU want look if you are not a regular but who cares about that anyway. If you are looking for a good affordable muni and not a new friend in the club house this is a good golf option. Monaco Bob

I played this course yesterday. The staff was very nice and professional. There was no hot breakfast so I had vendor provided sandwich and juice. The grass driving range was fine and the chipping and putting greens are great. The course is in great shape and was very enjoyable and forgiving. Dont let forced carry over water on #17 scare you. If you hit pretty straight then only 4 holes required your thinking cap. So go play this enjoyable par 70 early in the morning to beat the heat.

No cart Staff on course, rude staff members, poor conditions, horrible driving range, no food to eat, vending machines on course. Must carry quarters to drink. Without a doubt this is the worst course I have every played.
