Golf Headquarters Lubbock Texas For the Serious Golfer or a High Capper looking for the right Equipment. I am admittedly not a Lubbock Native Son, but a professional transplant; who’s carried my love of golf across the US from Washington DC, Virginia, Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh and now landing in Lubbock Tx. While the transient life style isn’t always the easiest, it has afforded me the opportunity to play some wonderful golf and make friends from the West to East Coast, and in between. My Travels have afforded me the exposure to a number of golf facilities, stores, and courses. I’ve played and had clubs built from Sea Island Georgia, Pebble Beach, PGA Superstore, and now Golf Headquarters here in Lubbock. Ladies and Gentlemen, not all golf stores are created equally; most you will find most stores are going to push what inventory number they need to get rid of, or what OEM SPIFF is being offered that Month. Granted its only one man’s opinion behind a key board, but a man whom has seen them all, Golf HQ is the place to get your equipment from in West Texas. Golf Headquarters Trackman based fittings are 100% are the only way to get fit; Trackman is the Industry / PGA standard. Watch any tour PGA / LGPA / European Tour event and you will see these (+$20,000) units on the ranges of events worldwide. Trackman measures via radar actual club and ball performance characteristics vs other inferior fitting systems that only draw data points from Club head speed and use algorithms to produce, ball speed, spin, flight data points. I was looking to move from a game improvement set of irons to something more toward the players end of the spectrum. Deryl greeted me and heard the story of the progression of my golf game. He started recommending clubs, but instead of just saying "you should try these" he already fully intended for me to hit every club he recommended (and a couple that I wanted to check out but had no business swinging). He was very knowledgeable and friendly and did not judge the 2 or 3 (more like 15) mishits I had while testing. I settled on some Pings and the fitting was awesome. Less than one hour I picked new clubs, got fitted and had ordered a custom set of Ping i irons. Thanks Deryl!
