My wife and I last saw the "Scarlet Pimpernel" at the Music Hall on its national tour years ago. We have waited and waited for a return of this wonderful musical to no avail. That is until I saw the Artisan Center Theater promo in the Dallas Morning News Guidelive. I snapped up three seats and hoped that the quality would be such that my wife would have her Scarlet Pimpernel itch satisfied. Wow! What a terrific experience! The three leads were all one could hope for and more. Great voices! Great presence! and the supporting cast as well as lighting, sound, costumes (again, terrific!!) and sets provided a marvelous theater experience. We drove from Richardson for this show and would do it again in a heartbeat for such a show. Keep up the great work!

Saw Sister Act on opening night (8/26/17) and was pleasantly surprised. The set was well designed as was the lighting. Costumes, although not extravagant, were a good fit for the production. The performers were excellent, augmented by the creative choreagraphy . Only complaint was the inconsistency of the sound. Hopefully this will be addressed in future performances. As for the Artisan itself, one can not beat the immersive, fourth wall blurring format of theatre-in-the-round. The venue was clean with comfortable seating. The courteous, welcoming, and helpful staff exemplified community, ensuring a return visit. If you enjoy community theatre, add the Artisan Center Theater to your to-do list.

Great Entertainment! Suitable for the whole family. It doesnt matter if youre 7 or 97, theres always a show that will catch your interest. The Artisan puts on year-round productions. They have two stages: Main Stage & Second Stage. The Main Stage features all of their Major Productions. Main Stage is setup as a Theater-In-the-Round. In this way, you get to sit around the show taking place in the middle. The Second Stage is used for their Childrens Theater program and dozens of other shows throughout the year. Second Stage is setup as a Thrust Theater. You really get that up-close and personal feeling, during each show. If youre in Hurst looking for a great show, this is the place to be!

This place is great for family theater. The productions are short for little kids (45 minutes) and the theater is very small so all can see. This is such a hidden gem. $5 for a show and very talented actors/actresses. Ive never seen the family shows, but Ive heard those are great too. This is a great place to bring the kids to show them live theater. I really highly recommend this place. They also do acting classes and workshops in the summer.

My daughter has been performing and taking classes here for 6 years. It has been a wonderful experience. We love the staff and teachers. The owners are wonderful. It is a great place to watch wonderful musicals for adults and kids. They are one of the few Theatres that has lots of kids shows. It is a perfect place to take kids and grandkids for entertainment!

I love this theater. I have been attending plays here for several years. There have been several structural improvements. This last one I saw "Buddy Holley" was amazing. I was singing and dancing and laughing. I love the center stage. Great job bringing this musical to life. Ive also seen Helen Keller, Cinderella, The Hiding Place and Scrooge to name a few.

I am so glad that we invited to see the Pirate Queen! We are hooked! We have gone to see every show since! We even saw Les Miserables twice! The talent is wonderful. It is a first class production. It is such a great to have something of this great quality to close and reasonably priced!

This is the best value family entertainment in the metroplex. So many talented performers and such wonderful shows. I became a season ticket holder a few years ago and have loved every show. I love some musicals so much I see some twice, to see the performance by the alternate cast.

What a great way to introduce your children to the performing arts (both from the audience and from behind the scenes)! They even work with TCC to offer ASL friendly shows! Weve seen 3 different plays here and have yet to be disappointed!

This is the best entertainment for a small amount of money. The people are fantastic, very helpful. Looking around the audience and everyone is smiling and having fun. Great theater. I go to most of there shows.
