This is a very cool, old, restored theater. All the decorations and the layout is time-period correct. It has a great atmosphere! Time is not always on its side however. The seats are horrible. They are the old movie style seats where you share BOTH your arm rests. The seats themselves are fairly padded but still somehow not all that comfy. The leg room is very decent however, way more room than you usually get. Time has also done a number on the floor. It actually flexes in places as you walk over it. This maybe normal for that style of floor but it was a bit concerning to me as I was leaving. My advise: pull all the chars, put in ones with dual arm rests but put the rows closer together so you can keep the number of seats the same. The arm rests bugged me enough that Ill likely not return unless its an amazing act. I know this sounds weird but Im tall (66") and it got rather uncomfortable after about 90 minutes.

Love this theater! They have many AWESOME events from showings of older films (recently saw Carrie and Willy Wonka with a friend, we had a great time!) to great concerts (saw BareNaked Ladies) comedians (Lewis Black, Brian Regan, etc...) and book events in conjunction with Watermark Books (Alton Browns cookbook signing). Theyve always been well managed and everything goes smoothly, even when they have challenges with the aging building, but its a beautiful building worth restoring as a Wichita Landmark!

Love seeing shows at this place. I just wish they would renovate a few things. I know its a historic place but many things are in need of repair including the seats and flooring. They are working on it but still needs more work. That being said all the shows Ive seen here are awesome. Saw the Oak Ridge Boys recently and they were amazing. Recommend seeing something in here at least once.

This beautiful building is the poster-child for "looks can be deceiving" or "dont judge a book by its cover!" I never would have guessed the Orpheum would look so extravagant on the inside! The staff, including security guards, fit the etiquette of this building - professional, friendly, and inviting!! The Orpheums beautiful design will take you back in time to where it all began!

Currently undergoing restorations, but a fantastic venue. Old architecture and period photos give a glimpse into its history as a Wichita landmark. It hosts film festivals, concerts, stand-up comedy, and other stage productions. There is a parking lot to the north and several other lots nearby so access to and from is pretty easy.

I went to a comedy show here and it was great! I love the rustic look of the theater and all of the staff is nice! sound was clear even though we were wayyyy up in the balcony. Absolutely no leg room so be sure to get an end seat if you are tall or you will be hitting the people in front of you.

Old but a classic theater. Little nervous someone would fall off the balcony since there were no safety features to prevent this but otherwise a great theater still. Needs some work but everything is there still for great producions!

Theater was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Had a wonderful time seeing. We arrived a half hour early to park, and it took us more than that to find which parking garage we purchased a spot for in advance. Know where you need to be beforehand.

Great piece of nastalgia. Love their retro/classic movie series. This is not the Warren. No stadium seating, no THX sound and no digital projection, just the look and feel of an old - but classy theater.
