The new Round One in Grapevine Mills is incredibly clean, well staffed, and overall gives a very positive vibe for a family friendly place to hang out. However, for those who are going for the arcade you may be better off not going. The prices for the games are astronomically higher than other arcade competitors (primarily Dave & Busters) and while the Japanese imports (Hatsune Miku, Beatmania, REAL claw games) are nice to have, at 8 credits ($2) for one play the funds get drained very very quickly. Not only that, if you have young kids going for redemption games, do note that their ticket payoff at this location is astronomically low for the money you have to put in. If however, you are going for billiards, bowling, or darts there prices are very competitive. All their rentals and bowling balls are cleaned regularly (their arcade machines are not sadly) and the actual bowling area is very comfortable to sit at. The bar is very close by which allows parents to sit and have a drink while supervising their kids bowling games. The karaoke rooms are a little bit of a let down. Do note that a minimum of one drink order per person is required if you rent out a karaoke room. This is in-line with how karaoke rooms work in Japan which makes sense. However, unlike Japan there is absolutely no privacy given to karaoke rooms here. There are no blinds to cover the window or door letting everyone and their dog stare at your group while you belt out your songs. Given that karaoke is supposed to be a private even between close family/friends this is a huge disappointment. I understand Round 1 wants to make sure nothing uncouth is happening behind closed doors but this is primarily a main reason I never see anyone renting out the rooms. This needs to be changed ASAP.

This place is BOMBTASTICALLY awesome! I took my toddler to the mall today to walk around and we came across this arcade. Of course, with all the flashing lights and sounds it caught my sons attention (mine too lol) so we decided to go on in and explore and I was in awe at how frickin cool it is! And BIG! Seriously, this place goes on and on and ON! There has to be well over 100 games and at least 20 different racing games (my sons favorite!) Theres bowling, pool, darts, karaoke rooms, and games, and games, and MORE games! Lol The prices are great too, like another reviewer mentioned. Im definitely coming back here with just my husband for a date full of gaming! :-) Oh, and boo on the whiny guy who couldnt win at the claw machine. Boo on you dude. You know what youre getting into when you play those machines! I just want to say for the record that several people were winning stuff out of the machines while I was there!

Its my first time here, and this one employee "Daniel with red glasses" just made my stay here very unpleasant. I go to the kids play zone, so son can play he said to go to the kids check in zone I went there was no one in line. I go back to him and tell him. He then tells me I have to go to the bowling lane to check in. "To just wait they are busy. There among myself and many other families in the same check in zone for the kids area. He comes to help to check out. I finally get to the cashier to pay, and Im told to go back to the kids zone, and sign some papers. I told him why didnt you give me the paper in the first place when I was asking about it. He then tells me "you didnt say you needed the papers" very rude, and unprofessional. It took me about 20 mins just to get into the kids zone area. Bathrooms are a mess with no hand soap against osha policy. Very busy with only 1 cashier in the bowling zone.

Very disappointing. I used to be a regular and spent a ton of money here. Tonight I was overcharged for bowling, then overcharged for drinks on top of that. I let the manager know and he was not only extremely rude, but insinuated I was a liar when I told him I did not receive a receipt for bowling. Yet ANOTHER time I won the colored tokens from the coin machine. They did not fall out but the people at the counter would not reimburse me. Not only will I never be coming back but I advise others to stay away. Company is a rip off who does not care about their customers in the slightest. Horrible management, horrible place altogether. Dont waste your time or money. James and Armando are the only nice employees. They are awesome but everyone else seems to hate their job.

Unfriendly to downright rude staff depending which staff member we spoke to. Multiple customers that were complete strangers commented on it to us while we were looking at prizes. The payouts for the games are quite stingy, and the food was meh at best. We will not be coming back here any time soon, they need to sort out their staff first. Side note: there is currently an open box of completed job applications sitting in the entryway. So you know, identity thieves if you want some easy pickings...the complete lack of regard for information security is insane. Appalling even. Like I get that the staff is too busy being rude to customers to collect apps, but maybe have the box secured or something? Yikes.

Ever since they closed down Gameworks I would rarely come to this mall for entertainment, when Grapevine Mills opened up Sea Life and Legoland I also thought this would be fun but both are a disappointment and expensive. Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon Round 1 when we went to go shop. Definitely had lots of fun here, there are WAY too many games to choose from not to mention the amount of rooms for karaoke. Prices for Darts, Pool and Bowling are cheap compared to most places. The arcade machines are really over priced which basically limits me on how many machines I can use. Either than that this place rocks and I do recommend to go! Just make sure you bring ID after late hours

Im very happy that Round1 opened a location inside Grapevine Mills. Ever since Sega GameWorks closed and so did the indoor skatepark across from it as well, it seems that Simon Malls (Grapevine Mills management company) has been trying to clean out the teenage riff raff and make the mall more soccer mom friendly, especially with that little kiddie train that toots and chugs laps inside the mall while hauling little tykes around. Not to mention they replaced the aforementioned skate park and arcade with a bullshit mini aquarium and LegoLand amusement park....bringing in Round1 arcade is the first step towards bringing Grapevine Mills back into the proper direction again

So today I was at Round 1 Bowling & Amusement, and I took my 3 children with me, we wanted to play in the Kids Play Zone, so when I got to the counter to pay the gentleman said that for every 2 kids there needs to be a parent, so because I had 3 kids there needed to be 2 parents or adults to watch the children. I was highly affended cause this man behind the counter, perceived that I couldnt watch my 3 children at the same time. I was was a bit shaking up...so I left the facility immediately. It was never stated in the website that at Kids Play Zone you need to have 2 adults for 2 kids. Please be more specific...in your website for future misunderstandings.
