Nice museum with great aircraft. I took a ride up in the T-6 and want to do it again! There is no food or light snacks in the museum but no big deal. I have also noticed several ongoing issues for a while now. The information on their website is extremely outdated. Every now and then I log on to the website for news and updates so I can see what is new and nothing is posted regarding 2012. There is information as old as 2008!! Really? There was hurricane damage yes but how about focusing on the planes and other items that were not damaged and make a big deal about it...market it? The website has very old and outdated photos which I have seen plenty of top notch amateur photos floating around that they could use instead. In a nutshell, great planes, great rides offered, poor marketing strategies and design to keep the youth and adults of our nation interested in such important history.

I loved the place. Great war birds and pieces of history. Staff are friendly. However, as of time of writing, some parts of the museum seem inaccesible, even when there are clearly more planes or objects to be seen. And some plaques are out of place. But this negative comment is negative because of the excellent work this museum has done to keep these old birds airworthy. Also, despite the fact the museum took a heavy hit during hurricane Ike, it still does its best, and succeeds, to present their aircraft, which is probably why some places are sanctioned off. Great museum overall, wish I could donate more to help!

Conditions of the planes are very good. You can feel that these birds are really alive and able to fly. Unfortunately, they dont have all the planes, that were listed. Looks like its because of damages by hurricanes. Probably thats why planes are able to fly - to escape from next hurricane! Thanks to people who woks there - I feel that they are loving these planes. That was very interesting to see construction of some planes which were under service. Also they have a nice store with lots of books, models and etc.

Visited the museum 8 July 2009. They gave me a discount receipt for $5, but when later examined my separate credit card receipt I discovered they charged 8 dollars to my credit card. Museum is on Lockheed, not Terminal Drive. Web site advertises 40 aircraft in museum. Only nine - yes, nine - are available for viewing - one in maintenance state so severe it is useless in a museum at this time. DO NOT waste your money.

Great place to see old warcraft planes & vehicles in which about 5 are still in service. I visited on Aug. 23, 2011 & a majority of the museum is still under renovation from damages of hurricane Ike. Very interesting place to visit, lots of knowledgeable info about the planes. Dont forget to stop by your hotel lobby or visitor center, they have tons of coupons for most museums in town.

Ive been to aviation museums around the World and this museum is a top notch place. All new facility built right on the Ellington Airport. Very easy to get to off of 45 South and Highway 3. They have many restored and flying warbirds and offer rides per their website. This is a must visit if you have friends or family from out of town. Go see this museum.

Polite staff, and well kept facility. Dont expect to get up close and personal with any aircraft. If you can appreciate what youre seeing for the history of it, thats great, but my son was gung ho to see inside crew areas, cockpits, etc. Well stick to air shows in the future.

The family and I recently visited the Museum. They have one of the ten remaining B-17s that are still airworthy. I enjoyed seeing all of their aircraft and speaking with the three employees/volunteers I ran into. If you have any interest in aviation it is worth the drive.

The museum was wonderful. The only downside was the plane in one of the corners that had the worlds flattest tire and was not repaired yet. The plane was in such bad shape and too big not to notice. I found the museum very interesting and the planes were beautiful

Susan helped me choose a flight experience for a gift. She was great to talk to and very knowledgeable. The museum has several models on display but the flight experience is their shining star. I thought the prices were reasonable for the service.

What a blast! (No pun intended) There is so much to learn, lots of cool technology to see, plus theres a tour inside the 747 boieng shuttle carrier, food and souvenirs are a bit pricey but the overall experience makes up for it!!!

I loved every minute of it. The highlight of the day was watching their B-17 take off and land. Several other aircraft were available for rides that day, next time maybe I can go up in the Flying Fortress. Dont miss it.

This is an AMAZING place, where the airplanes are all flyable- not just museum pieces. However, be aware that they are moving locations. The Galveston location is closing and will reopen in Houston later this summer.

This was an experience I wont forget. The B-17 was in phase while we were there. Got to see more of the aircraft than normal while on static display. Lots of history packed into a small space.

Definitely a good history lesson. Not as big as we thought it would be. Not as many planes as they lead you to believe there are. Probably a little over priced for what they have on site.

I enjoyed the museum and learned a lot about the history of aviation at the same time. This is a great place to take the family if you are looking for something fun and different to do.

The Lone Star Flight Museum is must see for all history buffs. They have an amazing collection of World War II planes, and my son was running from plane to plane taking pictures.

Fantastic collection of WW II aircraft, all of them in perfect flying condition. If you want, you can take a ride, for a price.

When you visit to Texas, one of the places you should visit before you go. When you are there you feel like you are in WW2.
