Lizard Lounge is a great place to spend friday and saturday nights (never been on others night tho). I only see bad reviews with the staff but i dont get why. I go there fairly regularly, almost every weekend, and never had a problem with the staff. The staff outside is usually pretty nice and friendly, and on the inside, they dont mess with u if u dont mess with them. Even when I got called out before because i was sitting on the side of the dance floor and that wasnt allowed, the staff guy just tapped me on my shoulder to ask me if i was ok and if i could sit somehwere else or go dance. The only thing is that a water bottle is 5$, which becomes a big problem when youre dancing in a crowd full of people, especially bc many of them are rolling sometimes. It becomes impossible to keep hydrated unless you want to keep blowing ur money or drink tap water. Everyone that i have met there is super nice and friendly too. It can get CROWDED though, but thats mostly during the main performance, afterwards it comes back to normal. I love how they have 2 rooms too. Dont underestimate the smaller room, the dj there is usually awesome and thats where most of the shuffling/cool dancing happens. Also, apparently you can get in for free in some concerts if before 10:30pm, if u sign up for their news, you can also rsvp for big concerts and get in free (usually 20$). And oh btw, theres no reentry, so buy your cigarettes before if youre a smoker

Ive had my share of clubs with EDM and music of that nature, but this one is now, without a dont the WORST one Ive ever been to! Im from San Antonio and my friend and I drove 3-4 hours to see Adventure Club and we were super excited. When we got there they rejected my friend and I entry because we were wearing muscle shirts/tank tops. Now Id understand if it was a "wife beater" shirt but these shirts had designs on it and previous tour shirts of UME. The bouncer was VERY unfriendly and treated us like we owed them something. When we went back after a 35 minute walk to our hotel and back, we saw them let a guy in who was wearing a full body penguin costume and girls wearing nothing. We were like what the hell! The security was acting horrible and basically being bullies/buzzkillers! They started kicking people out for almost everything which included a guy wearing a tank. Also, when the DJ told us to "get your shoulders ready and put the girl on your shoulders!" When the girls got on their boyfriends shoulders, security got PISSED OFF and started PUSHING people out of the way in a CROWDED place just to get to those couples and tell them to get off. I do NOT plan on visiting again. Why the 2 stars then? Because Adventure Club made my night and trip. I will be going else where next time if anything good is in Dallas

The security guards/bouncers ruin the entire experience.I was there for Crizzly and Figures All black everything tour, and they wouldnt let the girls from the crowd twerk on stage even though Crizzly was encouraging it. The bouncers are on a power trip, and they need to tone it down. The owner of the place needs to up his game on hiring staff that are there to make sure nobody is fighting, not innocent ravers just trying to have a good time and see their favorite artists. Another issue is it gets way too packed in there. Its dangerous if someone has some sort of medical emergency, is overheating, or people next to them start fighting each other and becomes a casualty as a result . It has to be some sort of city fire code violation. Theyd be better off having that entire back parking lot turned into an outside stage/event area. If you want to go to a nice venue where everyone loves you including the staff, go to green elephant. its smaller on the inside but the outside area is great, and you can actually move around and not get interrogated by obnoxious staff when youre having "too much fun. IF ANY ARTISTS ARE READING THIS REVIEW I WOULD STRONGLY DISCOURAGE YOU FROM PLAYING THIS PLACE AND PLAY SOUTH SIDE BALLROOM OR GREEN ELEPHANT UNTIL LIZARD LOUNGE FIXES THESE RIDICULOUS PROBLEMS.

Boi if this aint the lamest club in dallas idk what is, super uptight and the security guards think their in iraq or something, i snuck in a 64oz flask of liquor and no joke i had 1 sip and boom 5 security guards are all around me, i hid the flask back in my pants before they saw it and they tried searching me, i replied they could suck a fat D, one security guard went so far as to start pushing me towards the police and shouting to get the f out of his club, yeah like its his club.. Boy probably could even afford an apartment with his downhill nowhere to go a$$ job, so i get outside to the police waiting and they question me and tried searching me.. Remeber this is a 64 oz flask its nothing small, all anyone can see is this big lump in my tshirt, so as i refuse to show any i.d or answer any questions i just keep showing them the stamp on my hand that says "party", i just get up. Ask for my money back which was $25 and they refused even though they never found anything on me.. I just have to say this club is sooooooo lame. If you go your lame af. Take my advice and wait til ur 21 to go out clubbing its much better. Or just go get a fake i.d i doubt lizard lounge would catch you anyways, i mean a 64oz flask seriously.. I could have snuck a nuclear bomb in that place.. So ridiculous.

I really enjoyed my first foray into the Lizard Lounge. My friend and I went to see Basshunter here the other night and WE.HAD.A.BLAST!!! Upon purchasing the tickets, we didnt know what the difference could be between regular admission and VIP except that one said 18+ and the other 21+. We went with our gut instinct and purchased the VIP tickets and, boy, were we glad we did!! The VIP section in the Lizard Lounge is nice and they dont sell tickets to the point of crowding upstairs. There were just about enough people in the VIP section to move around comfortably and not get sweated on. So, I highly recommend you buy VIP tickets if you are able to. Also, get there early enough so you can nab those comfy chairs with the rockin view!! Even if we didnt come for the Basshunter show, this place would be a great place to dance in. The music here is great!!! DJ Johnny Funk spins really good mixes and is the regular DJ at Lizard Saturday nights. (PLUS, hes a sight for sore eyes!!) ;) Will definitely be back. All the staff we encountered was friendly and the drink prices werent ridiculously overpriced either.

The venue is tiny, mismanaged, the employees are rude, poor airflow, the shows get over sold and I feel like I can barely breath, let alone dance when it fills up. I went here to see Zomboy who Ive seen before (love Zomboy) and at first I was having a blast, I didnt care that everyone was rude, or that the venue was crap I was one of the first people on the dance floor for the local act who was playing a sick Future House set! But after a couple hours the place quickly filled up and I didnt really have anywhere to go, Ive been to other venues (Southside) and festivals and Ive never had this problem, the fact that so many acts play here makes me so disappointed, CMON DALLAS Were the fourth largest metorplex in the U.S over 7 Million people live here we can do better than this. we deserve a better electronic venue that actually books shows, there are other BETTER existing places for shows ie: Bomb Factory, South side, any Stadium, a nice parking lot, my backyard, ect. Anyways I hope this place either shuts down or stops getting so many acts booked, it really is obnoxious.
