As a member of the golf course, i was there when this incident took place. These new golfers were literally just that, they had never played Charwood before and as they stated, only played golf about 2 times in their life. The residential course member is a seasoned vet golfer and is very aware of the etiquette to use on a golf course. Driving on the fairways is allowed, except where roped off. Being caught driving where you should not and understanding the rules is part of the game. When called on this AFTER dark (when cart should have already been back in) they got angry and decided to voice a negative opinion. I recommend taking a course in golf etiquette to learn the rules, as this will help in keeping them on the course in the future.

For $15(weekday afternoon rate) this track is the best deal in Columbia if you want something cheap, low traffic, but decent course. Course is not long by any means, but in decent shape albeit some of the greens have some bare spots. The only real complaint I may have is their limited ball selection in the pro shop.(Hint, please offer some of the more popular balls like Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x). The staff is very friendly with a down home feel to it.

This course is the best kept secret in columbia for a reason. We were quoted $27(normal rate) on the phone, when we arrived they said the rate was $35. So here whats you get for $35 (holiday rate). 1) Dirt Cart Paths (Roots and all) 2) Artificial Greens (White Course) 3) Tee boxes arent well defined 4) Homes are very close to the course 5) They do honor their tee times 6) People were friendly 7) Gas Golf Carts

As a regular player here, I can say that it is quite relaxed, and only $15 at twilight (too costly in the mornings). Good deal with cart, but it plays like a $25 golf course, so dont expect Augusta. Otherwise, the perfect deal overall.

Used to be a great deal. Blue course has been closed all year and rates are now near $30 which is about $15 to much. Greens are in awful shape. Only good thing is normally dont have to make tee time.

Great course with excellent greens! Also very affordable especially with their twiligiht special or $20 after 2:30. The staff is also very friendly and makes you feel at home.

Course has came along way in recent years and is in great shape. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Also cant beat the student and twilight rates
