While walking through the back portion of the Newport Grand-owned parking lot, a friend and I were harassed and intimidated by a guy in a truck labeled "Sterling Landscaping." He was very close to running us over, intentionally speeding past us at speeds 50+ MPH three times. He confronted us and tried to question why we were walking through the roped off portion of the parking lot, etc. Very confusing exchange, this was not posted as a "no trespassing" area or anything like that, it was a completely empty parking lot with only this truck nearby. I reported this to their "security,"his name was "Mark." Mark was irritated by us and wanted nothing to do with us. We requested information about what was happening with those folks in the back corner of the parking lot, reporting what had happened. Mark repeated the response "what do you want me to do about it?" in a very loud and unprofessional manner. Mark stood up, placed his hands on my shoulder without asking permission and proceeded to send me towards the door, telling me I was being kicked out and if I did not leave I would be arrested and hed call the police, in a profanity laden rant. I asked Mark to please not place his hands on my, to which he continued to once again do as he pushed me out the door. Before I was out the door, I asked Mark if I could please have his last name. Mark responded "My last name is F*** You." We reported this to the supervisor via the phone, her name was "Karen." Karen had little sympathy and refused my request to come outside to speak with me. Additionally, a head of security gave me a call (I believe he stated his name as Captain Phillips) and proceeded to tell me he and his staff were not responsible for what happens in a leased out portion of their parking lot. The incident was reported to the Newport Police. There is something very sketchy going on there; the whole situation left me extremely confused. As a Newport resident, I am well aware of the negative press Newport Grand gets, and this was a clear indication of why.

At times I show up at midnight during week and its so quiet. I can pick pretty much anything I want to play. Staff is great, location is nice. I wish I had more time to make it here. I sometimes insert one Bill into slot and sit there for a long time. So many chances to hit jackpot for so little money. Become a member and the possibilities are endless. My sister and laws parents have won several free trips, cruises etc. If your headed to Newport , this is a MUST stop location, eat, entertainment, slots, virtual blackjack and so on. Weve been to the Grand Grille several times and have been happy and satisfied each time. The New England Clam Chowder allows arrives hot and is delicious. The prime rib (not the buffet) was excellent as was the meat loaf dinner I had just last night. We find the prices to be very reasonable, the food to be excellent, and the service is always good.

LOOKS LIKE A GHOST TOWN. Hardly anyone in the casino on a Sunday. Pay out very poor everyone I spoke to donated their money. I think if you dont mind losing than try your luck. Very disappointing I cant see another casino being built if cant make it in Newport. The tourist were every where but not at the casino. That should tell something!

Smaller casino, event area ( usually a cover band or d list performer trying to make a extra buck ) a resturant and a fast food cafeteria. Loaded with penny slots..every now and them youll see a" big win ".. I think 10 - 20 k... its ok to spend a hour or two.

Video games have never been less fun and confusing. First timers do some research because everything will be foreign and confusing and even if you tell the staff its your first time, they dont offer any assistance other than where the non smoking rooms are.

SUPER Tight slots, no free drinks (not even pop!), no slot attendants, dark and dreary....not a lot of fun. Ive heard locals say you used to be able to win occasionally.... not too sure what happened, but this place is unfriendly and depressing!!

Horribly pathetic place taking advantage of old people with no other entertainment options. Games all rigged to not pay out. With the little money we wasted here we could have gone to the finest restaurant in town

Fun place to do some video slots, no free drinks but pricing is reasonable and mixed drinks are given a good pour. They dont use jiggers so you dont only get an ounce of booze.
