First, let me start off by saying that I usually do not write reviews; I signed up for many websites just so I could share this miserable experience. I am what casinos would call a high roller. I am a Soar cardholder at Mohegan Sun and have a comparable rank at Foxwoods. I do not mind having a nice relaxing time dropping $2000+ at blackjack knowing that I will at least be treated with respect by the dealers, pits, and other members of the staff. I do not require any entitlement, as I feel everyone is deserving of equal treatment in an environment where most are seeking entertainment. I also do not look the part of "high roller"; I am in my late 20s, look like he can pass for 21, and usually wear my unassuming blue jeans and wool pea coat. I also do not like to be bothered and lack a phone by choice (I am one in a million), so I use a tablet PC to communicate via text instead of a phone, which I carry in a green handbag no larger than a womans purse.. I was checking out the high limit blackjack tables at 7:30 pm on 3/25/2014 when a security guard named RON who ran over to me and said, and I quote, "Kid, the hell is in the bag!?!?!" I understood that he was trying to protect the safety of the casino, but how disrespectful can you be? I replied, "I will show you, but dont you dare use that tone with me." Apparently, that was too much for his puny ego, as he EJECTED me for this. No apology. In fact, he and the door guard (Frank) were laughing at me as I walked back to my car. I wish I could say there were more to the story, but nope. I got thrown out for being a weird-looking "kid" with a weird green handbag. RON even made sure to demean me when I mentioned that it was no different than a purse, suggesting I was "different"" for carrying one. I intended to go to Twin River, potentially drop the $5000 I came with, and call it a night. Instead, I am sitting in my room at Mohegan posting this review to every website just to get a point across; they fail at the ONE aspect a casino must succeed at, make the customer feel WANTED. Ron gave me a night I will not soon forget, and i will make it my mission to spread it around Mohegan, Foxwoods, ATL City, and any internet site accepting this review.

Id give this place a 0 if I could. Upon entering the casino I could hear the security muttering jokes regarding clients and singling out people to cause trouble with to kill their unused time. Unfortunately, it seems like these owls had their eyes set on my family. After being refused entry to the main entrance and being told to go to the back door due to the presence of children, we drove all the way around to the back entrance, entered for a good 5 minutes before we were stopped again after coming out of restrooms. Even though we entered through the back entrance like we were told to, according to "STATE LAWS" as said by the OH SO DILIGENT security...? We had to leave. At this point, I literally did not care and was rather content with leaving as the place was a complete dump and the only reason I came here was because a family member suggested us to during our outting. However , we were not even allowed to wait for our other family members who were inside. These guys literally stalked us until we stepped outside the building like we were gonna come back. As we were leaving we saw and heard one their old and fat client mutter racial slurs underneath his breath just because we used an elevator. Very, very warming. Do not go here unless you like being harassed and surrounded by the smell of smoke wherever you go, even in non-smoking areas. For a dump of a casino these security sure take pride in uplifting their ego. Score: 0/5 Terrible experience.

I usually play upstairs in the non smoking section to avoid the smoke filled smoking section downstairs. I enjoy the convenience of playing at a local casino but the customer service needs drastic improvement. While playing poker the floor manager are no where to be found. It takes between 10 to 15 minutes to fill a vacant seat when the list is a mile long. The same goes for when dealers are making change. They are never where they need to be. Also dealers dont maintain control of the table. They allow players to rebuy for more than the table max. Also they dont say anything when players are using there cell phone while in a hand or when they are speaking a foreign language. Or give absent buttons when dealers relief each other. The players are running the table. In addition the beverage service is ATROCIOUS most of them dont smile, dont say thank you when you tip, acknowledge you when you order a beverage. Which leads to them constantly flat out forgetting your beverage. They dont write anything down. When you inform them that they forgot your drink they give you attitude. I enjoy playing there but I do have options FoxwoodsCT and MGM. Soon Ill have even more options with the casinos opening in MA. If twinrivers customer service doesnt improve they will loose thousands of patrons to there competitors simply due to bad service. Gambling is an option not a priority but exceptional customer service is.

Do not use their ATM machines! Im not talking about the $5 fee they charge. They literally stole $100 + $5 dollar use fee from me. Ive been to this casino often and they got all new ATMs a couple of months ago. I went to take $100 out and the ATM screen said "Thank you, please take your cash and receipt." The door never opened and no cash came out. I got someone who got a cage manager. He came over and simply said "Oh, you must be over-drafted." I wasnt and had plenty of cash to cover it. I reported it to my bank. The bank credited me the money while Twin River did their own investigation and found that their machine did give me money. UNBELIEVABLE! I spoke to another man who said the same thing happened to him. I dont use a players card there or theyd know that Ive spent a lot there. I will never go there again. I called the local police near the casino and they said I had to come down there to file a report and couldnt do it over the phone. Twin River knows that I didnt receive my cash. I wonder how many other people this has happened to. I just got off the phone with my bank and the police department and Im fuming mad. That casino will not get another penny out of me. Im embarrassed to say but over 4 years theyve probably made around $80,000 off of me. So for $100 + $5 ATM fee + $3 fee from my bank, theyve just lost a customer for life.

We play blackjack exclusively. Until recently, we had a two hour drive from Massachusetts to Mohegan Sun if we wanted to play. But when Twin River brought in table games, it cut our drive in half. Unfortunately, management either doesnt know what they are doing, or they have a big ego. Weve been there 3 times late morning in the middle of the week and cannot get a seat at a table to play. At that time of day, they have about 10 blackjack tables open and all the others are closed. Of those 10 only 2 are $10.minimum bets and people are standing around waiting for an opening to play. The rest of the tables range from $15 to $100 minimums. Management must be on drugs, its morning, not prime time. On our 3rd visit, we spoke to one of the suits, (Ill call him "Mr. Million Excuses") and got the usual response. We told him we wouldnt be back and drove the extra hour to Mohegan Sun. They had plenty of $10 tables, plenty of openings, cleaner restrooms and a nice buffet. Its worth the longer drive. We are done with Twin River.
