I was recently a guest at a wedding and reception at the Barn at Birchwood. The barn is a great facility and its history and charm are very nice. However, Suzies (the owners) treatment of the guests was easily the most appalling Ive ever experienced. She was unbelievably rude to nearly every individual guest. She had no respect for the guests themselves and her idea of customer service is apparently chiding her guests for things as ridiculous as going up and down the steps "wrong" and ordering drinks from the wrong bar (were YOUR guests, well get our drinks from which ever bar we like). She even went as far as attempting to shut down the DJ before the scheduled end of the reception while the bride was dancing with all of her friends. Her husband was no better, barking orders at guests, pointing fingers in their faces, and ordering them to behave as if we were all children. This review of my experience at the Barn at Birchwood is in no way embellished and I hope that it will help anyone reading in making their event provider decision. While the facility is nice, dealing with the owners is so offensive, uncomfortable, and just unpleasant that I can in no way ever recommend anyone have an event at the Barn at Birchwood. This is unfortunate because the food was quite good and the hired wait staff and bar tenders were all quite nice and pleasant to the guests. This is probably because everyone there, staff and guests, shared a mutual and complete distaste for the owners.

The venue itself and the staff here are amazing. Tiffany was our point of contact and Michelle was our day of and they took care of everything for me. I was a little worried I couldnt personalize the wedding like I wanted to going through a venue/catering company, but I was wrong. They listened what I wanted, created food choices for me that werent even on the menu (ie the best samosas and street corn ever) and Tiffany was there every step of the way to help with all my questions. Michelle, our day of, made sure I had nothing to stress about. There was a mistake I had made the the place cards and I honestly didnt know about it until after the wedding- she took care of everything. Everyone kept telling us how cool they thought the Barn was and how much they enjoyed the food. All of the wait staff and bar tenders were so kind and attentive to us and our guests. Everyone has been saying its the best wedding theyve ever been to.

My daughter was married here and I had high expectations due to the reviews. Our experience was very disappointing. Many of our guests commented that the quantity of hors doeuvres were insufficient . The main dinner was very good. The "Day of staff" was missing in action and I felt like we were on our own most of the time. When the owner called me to discuss my concerns , he was rude, arrogant, and he had a snobbish , superior attitude . He made my bad experience even worse ! I was highly insulted and would never do business with him again.

Place has a great atmosphere, gives you that feeling you are at a farm yet you step outside and are presented with an amazing front yard and patio which are a great to host multiple type of events. On my personal opinion I dislike the multilevel layout inside the barn, views are obstructed from top down, guests have to leave their seat to see whats happening on the main level, but thats a minor thing. Overall, great experience and totally recommend this venue.

Absolutely stunning venue. We are hosting my sisters bridal shower here and the staff has been wonderful. They worked with us within our budget and were really creative with the menu choices. I have seen photos from weddings and they are STUNNING!

Perfect location for weddings and other large events. Indoor and outdoor areas available weather dependent. Large climate controlled three level structure with controllable lighting to add the perfect atmosphere.
