A historic vital organ to Salem culture, the Reed Opera House continues to be the home of local businesses that bring some color to the occasional gray day in Salem. The Reed is home to a great Macedonian sit-down restaurant and also a great sushi place upstairs. The ballroom hosts many different events from weddings to intercultural dances. The rest of the building is finely seasoned with different little shops offering the best of local and hand-made products.

The Reed Opera House as many unique business, its a one stop shop for many of your needs. It has Massage, Hair and Nail salons, barbershop, eye lashes extension studio, waxing, facials, clothing store, gift shops, hat shop and even more. If you havent been here yet you should check it out. Its a great place to shop small! All the businesses are locally owned.

The Reed Opera House is one of the most-original and quaint malls that Ive ever been to. Its full of delicious restaurants and interesting shops. Id recommend anyone in the Salem area to give it a walk-through if they havent already. :)

Great location, awesome shops, salons, and food! Terrible parking arrive early and make sure to utilize the after hours parking scattered throughout the surrounding areas -- nice scenic walk to the Opera house, I guess.

Confusing maze of soap stores and eateries with no logical layout. Many landlord building improvements undertaken without permits. Billed as a premier Salem location, really a place for start up businesses to die.

Tons of cool shops. Only downside is that the stairs can get tricky if youre trying to get to the third floor. I got lost when the elevator wasnt working and I needed to get to the third floor.

This place is a really cool visit to the past. The building speaks to you of a bygone era, and the boutique shops inside are wonderful small business gems. Support local businesses!

There are many different stores in the Reed Opera house. It is a maze to get through, but adds to the excitement level. Have fun and stop at La Perla for a cheap and good taco.

The Capitol City Theater, live improv comedy, was awesome! Family friendly and 8 bucks if you but them online. It was like "Whos Line Is It Anyway" minus the celebrities.

Such a unique building, in atmosphere and store variety. Could only imagine what stories these walls would tell. This place feels rich with historical knowledge.
