I will never return to this venue again. With about 3-4 songs remaining on the final acts performance, hordes of people will begin packing up in order to attempt to avoid the massive traffic jam after the show. So while you are trying to enjoy music, people are walking in front of you, packing up chairs, dusting off blankets, and just genuinely being distracting. My half of the stadium was all funneled like cattle into 4 turnstiles to exit out of. As Im slowly moving with the crowd out, I see a security guard open up a giant gate that would allow people to exit much quicker. He procedes to let out 1 other security guard who did not want to wait in the giant line to exit and then he closes the gate. Are you kidding me? This gate lead to the parking lot and it wasnt like it lead to a restricted area or anything. Multiple people commented on how this had to be some sort of fire escape liability. Little did I know the worst of it is yet to come. You finally get to your car and not even kidding you, absolutely no one has any idea on what to do. Cars are backing up, driving one way, others are driving the other way, some cars are trying to cut across the parking lot. At one point I saw 4 cars facing each other all honking trying to get the other person to back up. One lady got out of her car and started pounding on another cars windows because the person was going the "wrong way". If you look up Sh** show in the dictionary you will see a picture of this ampitheater. I am well aware it takes a lot of time to leave a concert , I have been to many shows and venues but this takes the cake for the absolute worst. A friend of mine told me that after he saw coldplay perform here he just had to sleep in his car because traffic hadnt even moved after an hour. I dont care who is playing at this venue, when she show is over at 1045 and I dont even get out of the parking lot until 1240 it will never be worth it for me.

I went to see Lilith Fair 2010. What a confusing event this was!! I realize responsibility for this may lie squarely between Lilith coordinators and the actual amphitheater. Lilith did a terrible job advertising and laying out the various stages. The amphitheater did a terrible job having staff on hand to help us ticket-holders out with directions to the various stages and to provide general information as to what the heck was going on. In one particular awesome moment, stafff security was trying to herd people away from sitting on a grassy sloped bank because it was too steep (and the only place left to watch the show because there were just too many people). Funny thing was that the area they were herding us into (with no view of the stage) was much steeper than the area they were trying to keep us away from. As others have mentioned, food was ridiculously expensive and many people were taking pictures of the menus just for the sheer joy of showing their friends how much a hamburger with fries cost. Like most places, there werent enough womens restrooms so the ladies flocked to the mens restrooms in droves (if they could avoid security.) At the end of the show when I exited the venue there were absolutely ZERO signs pointing the way to the various parking lots (of which there were many) and again, not a single person present to help us out. I didnt find the traffic too bad, but maybe it was because I was used to waiting around all day anyway, and the previous reviews alerted and prepared me. I will probably not attend another show here unless its an absolute "have to watch".

The Clark County Amphitheater leaves a lot to be desired as a venue. This is the only venue I can think of where you can have seats in the 10TH ROW and have them be BAD SEATS! The venue is WWAAAAAYYYY TOO WIDE. The seats on the ends of the rows have very poor views. We were completely unable to see the drummer at a show there recently. I went online the minute tickets went on sale and these were the "best available". Pretty bad. There are a lot of good seats here, but a lot of really bad ones too. Buyer BEWARE! The CCA website promises a "wide variety of food and beverages". In reality the menu is very short and pretty much just burgers, greasy pizza and some deep fried stuff. The drinks available were just plain sad. And all of it was grossly over priced. Ridiculously over priced! $34 for 2 chicken strip baskets and 2 Budweisers. Can anyone say RIP OFF? The CCA website also promises that "no money will be collected at the parking lot entrances". That makes it sound like parking is free, right? Not so. We were charged $5 for parking. Not a lot of money of course, but another example of poor treatment by the venue operators. Ill be very wary about going back there. There are a lot of good venues out there. They deserve my money a lot more than CCA.

My 5 person party and I arrived at 4:30. Ample time to get in the numerous lines throughout the night. When we got in line at the gate and there was lots of confusion. The moderator told us that the far left line was for those without bags. Then 15 minutes later, he allowed folks with bags to join the line. When we got to the gate opening the moderators computer broke down. So we had to move over to the other lane and back in line. I checked on line to see if we could bring in water and a backpack. The rules stated that we could not bring in food or any type of drink and nor a bag larger than an 8" x 11" bag. Very disappointed to see people carrying in large backpacks. I really wanted to be prepared for the evening chill and was unable to bring in my warm layers because I didnt have anything to put them in. The beer and food was outrageously expensive. Be prepared to spend at least $100 per person on food and drink. Our 2 lawn tickets were $17 each but with fees, they grossed $37 each. CRAZY! Exiting went fairly smooth. Be sure to get the quick pass.

We went to the Journey / Doobie Brothers concert here. We loved it. plenty of restrooms and they are kept nice and clean. Although for women I suggest you use the restrooms before the break. The line is very long at break time. Parking guides everywhere and security all very helpful. Eat good before you go if you are on a budget. A beer is $9 and slice of pizza$6 bottled water is $3 although they do have drinking fountains. You cant take any food or drink in, not even a water bottle. Over all we had a great time. If you get grass seating try to find a place on the right side. the sound is much better and its easier to get out. The left side has a steep hill and its very hard to walk on it. I here that riding the shuttle is the best way in so you dont get stuck in the traffic jam getting out. We drove because we arrived as the concert was starting. Then we left a little early so we had no trouble getting out. Also my boyfriend used the waves app on his phone and it gave us a route that took us away from the traffic getting in.
