I know the price of digital 3d projectors are about 100k for a budget machine and the servers and screen management systems are 100k + each easy, so Its hard to complain at the $4 per ticket price, they are older movies and usually get them in as there just hitting redbox so Im not sure if they are even slower then most 2cd run theaters but the theater will play the same movies for weeks and it kinda stinks when there is a month with no change when u like killing time at the movies.... All in all I still give it a 5, there soda machine is spot on and it taste the way soda should, (nothing worse then getting a soda and having the mixture off for the owner to save money.. places like Chinese restaurants are notorious for this!) and the popcorn is the best popcorn Ive had at any theater i have been too ... I dont buy it at regal or cinemark but here its amazing, the pizza and food is okay I guess..... not really restaurant quality but better then home... The only real complaint I have and the reason I decide not to go there lots when I want to see a movie, I find myself going to Cinebarr and pay more by 4 times because there seats at the N. Lights are so bad your butt and legs are numb after 20 mins.... the neck area is missing all the padding on every seat so that hurts too..... u watch and everyone is shifting sides constantly, I probably wont go back unless they decide to get new seats, i know that cost but its so bad, Im not making it sound worse then it is, its that bad!

In 1952 my friends and I would pay $.25 each for a childs admission to the matinee at the local theater during the summer when patronage was slow. Thats $2.24 in todays money. Just from that perspective alone $3.00 to see a fairly new movie is pretty cheap. Red box charges $1.25 for the same movie (if they have it) and you have to bring it back. I prefer the big screen at Northern Lights or 3D for just $6.00. My tv has good sound but nothing like surround sound in the theater. I show up ten minutes before show time, order dinner, grab two beers and grab a seat (theyre all good) and the movie starts. They clean the theaters thoroughly after each movie and wipe down all the tables. I know because I have gone out and payed again to watch the next movie being shown. Nachos and Greek salad are my favorites, and beer is cheaper than at my local pub. Whats not to like? People who complain about the food prices must not have gone to a "regular" theater in a long time!

Great value for movies. Snack bar has very good prices. I dont even mind that the movies are on the older side. I hate paying almost $15 a pop to see a movie. But, in saying that, some stuff just has to be seen on the big screen! The theater could use a good power washing and carpet cleaning along with some updating, but if they did all that, they would probably just raise the prices on us! I would say skip most of the actual food here, most of it isnt that great, but the fact that you can get beer and wine is a big plus! And NO KIDS most of the time. Thank you Jesus for that. Not that I hate kids, but I dont want to deal with other peoples misbehaving ones while Im trying to enjoy a movie and relax...just saying! Friendly staff, ample parking most of the time, not an impressive date spot, but still a good time for a great price!

Went to Northern Lights tonight 1/17/15 and saw Horrible Bosses 2. We got there approximately 40 minutes early, ordered food and received a number tag for food and waited in the lobby until we could enter. Waited for staff to "clean up" from the previous movie, by the time they finished and let us in, the previews were almost over and the movie began. After about 10 minutes into the movie, food began to be delivered to the moviegoers. About 40 minutes into the movie, I finally got my order, I was ignored when I asked the server why I received my order Last when I ordered first! My order was COLD and it was obvious that my order has been sitting for quite some time. Lesson learned; When you go to Northern Lights..... Be late and expect no one to care about service!!

We love Northern Lights! Every time we have taken in a movie at this theater the staff has been friendly and accomodating, the food has been hot and tasty (especially the wraps and the cookie sundaes!) and the theater has been clean. The facilities are older, but I feel like that adds to the sort of vintage charm of the theater. I will gladly wait a few months longer to see a film at Northern Lights (or sometimes will go back to see a favorite film again!) This theater really seems to care about its customers, even adding "sensory sentative" showings recently to accomodate families who have childrens with special needs. What a great place! I feel very good about supporting this local business!

We were given a gift certificate for dinner and movie. It sounded like an excellent way to spend an evening. Mostly, I would rate it as a good experience. The food was good and inexpensive. The facilities were dated, but in decent repair and clean. The only downside to the experience was a heavyset male employee ( manager??) who was rather gruff in the way he addressed myself and my wife. Not professional at all. The other employees were friendly, but our interaction with the employee in question really turned us off this establishment and we will not be spending our hard earned money at the Northern Lights Theater. Its really too bad that one person can ruin what otherwise was a positive experience.

For some reason, of the three times I have come here, I have always been running late and in a rush to get to my seat before the movie starts. I havent spent much time getting a good look at the theater and lobby area therefore but my experience has always been a positive one. The theater is small enough to have a nice local vibe to it, but large enough that I have not had a problem finding a seat, despite my aforementioned tardiness. The staff are friendly and the menu has a good selection, and the lights in the theater are not too bright once the movie starts.

Cheap place with fairly cheap food. Decor is terrible and the place looks incredibly run down. Management isnt very friendly, but you can see movies that have been out for awhile for a pretty cheap price. Food is ok- cheaper than places like Cinebarre, but it really is nothing special and you will spend just as much if not more than if you went to eat out at a restaurant. Best strategy- eat somewhere else, then come back for the cheap movie. 3D movies in my opinion are overpriced- about double the regular movie price. Guess you get what you pay for.

Tried for the first time tonight. Great prices both for entrance to see the movie ($3/ea) and for snacks ($2/drink). You have a table in front of you and not another movie goer, so tons of leg room and good visibility from every seat, and there is an isle in front of the table so no one has to crawl over you to get out to the bathroom. Bathrooms were as clean as at the hospital - incredible. I dont care if I see a movie the first week it is out anyway, so I will be back. Thanks.
