Went on a good day on the winter, should of known better, as I was there to play with my wife(both of us new to the game at the time) The Marshall said I had no one booked behind me so I could take my time, five teed off in front of us, we teed off and then on our second shot there was people on deck, so imagine getting sandwiched between five in front and those in back for 18 and not being fast yourself, ordered food to go on 8, came into the turn to pick up food and use the facilities and got the marshall barking at us, "Theres five guys in front of us" I said. He backed off. For the rest of the day we were pushed from the the front and the back, stacked on top of each other because it was a nice day. The course is all right, not a bad location. I golfed here twice, and both times got snooty treatment from the boys in the pro-shop, not so keen on going back here any time soon, theres better, closer, for about the same amount of money, less the crap from the help.

We decided on Colewood to have my fathers 60th birthday party, and thanks to Sue, Chef & the rest of the staff, the party was perfect. Sue was entirely accommodating, we were able to decorate anywhere and everywhere, just how we wanted. She allowed us to come the day before to get the decorations up (it took six hours) Chef did an outstanding job on the food for 100_, the chicken was well done and caramelized as requested, the pork roast moist and tender, everything was delicious - and they allowed us to bring in some from our own restaurant, to have the option to pick and choose to our liking was outstanding. We would use the clubhouse and their services again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anybody asking.

I played the front nine in early August a time of year you might think the course would be in its best shape. The positive: The staff is super friendly and the price is reasonable. The negative: The course is not well maintained. On #2 there was literally a drain in the middle of the green? All the greens are a mishmash of different types of grass which causes them not to roll true. On number #8 there was standing water all over the lower half of the green caused by a large lip on the fringe (it hadn’t rained in a week and a half so this must have been from the sprinklers). Many of the fairways were infested with clover and the rough was no better than the grass you might find at a local park.

Five adults and two small children went to the Grill at Colwood on Sunday for breakfast. We were the only guests in the restaurant and now we know why. Took 45 minutes for us to be served our food. When received it was cold and the portions were child size. Could not cut the english muffin with a knife as it was so stale. Hashbrowns were dollar size per serving and tasted fishy. The experience was disheartening as we were trying to promote the local restaurants in NE.Would not recommend for Sunday breakfasts.Had to rate it a "one star" just to post this.

Love Colwood. Best par 3 course in Portland, period. The course has two different tee boxes and hole locations (blue and white) for each hole, making it great for beginners and intermediate/advance golf players. The greens are the best part of the course, very fun to play compared to the typical flat greens at other Portland golf courses. You can tell their was thought put into them. The grill is alright and needs a little work especially with Portlands food scene. The customer service is great throughout.

I had the most wonderful experience at Colwood Grill!!! I will like to thank Colleen for all her assistance from signing the contract, setting of the room, helping with cake cutting! I was impressed in how everything was handled from beginning to end. Everyone love the setting and was very very impress with the food and the service. Again, thank you very much Colwood Grill staff for making my event one of the best experience EVER!!! I will definitely will be booking again. Sincerely, Yolanda

Came for happy hour on a Friday night. Service was wonderful food was delicious. Walked around the newly renovated grounds and couldnt believe it. What a beautiful place for an event. The driving range is great and the golf course is in really good shape. Its nice to have this in Northeast since so many golf courses are looking like they will never be heard from again.

Came here with friends a week ago and two cars were broken into, one of them being mine. Staff did not seem to care. We will not Golf here again and the owner should get security cameras, because the thieves know that us golfers will be away from our cars for a couple of hours.

The fairways and greens are fairly well maintained but the rough is very long and all the greens are roped off becuase they are very soft this time of year. Overall I would play there again.

Colwood has seen some major improvements. The new cook is inovative and has created new menu items. Its a classic menu with some vegetarian options. The green is reliable and pleasant.

Quaint and cozy. Great before or after golf -- or any other time. Great food, classic diner style. A real neighborhood gem. Peaceful setting yet easy to reach.

Super convenient considering how many courses in the area dont have ranges, 5 dollars for a good sized small and great friendly staff 100% would recommend.

Service was very good and they had a friendly staff. They had a meeting in their banquet hall and werent staffed well for it so it seemed kind of slow.
