My SO and I went once right after moving to Tulsa and dont intend to ever go back. We stood at the bar while (literally, no joke) EVERYONE at the bar--except us--was served, even people who went up to the bar after we had. I know for a fact that the two bartenders knew those customers were not up next, but they both avoided eye contact with us the whole time. I also got the distinct impression that the guy who finally talked to us would not have served us if we had (seriously) not been the only two people still standing at the bar. We went there because wed heard this was the closest thing to a hipster dive in Tulsa, but having frequented places like that around the country and in the UK, I can say honestly that thats not an accurate description at all--from the music to the crowd; the person who said so must not have known what he was talking about. We barely finished our beers and left because the atmosphere was so heavy. It was a cute place so I would like to think it was just a fluke like the previous reviewer indicates, but I wont be returning to find out.

This bar sucks. I live across the street and they close at 1:10am. Everyone acts pretentious and disrespectful to anyone that shows they have any sort of class. The live bands are boring, just jam bands that lack direction. If you want a friendly social atmosphere, look elsewhere.

If youre a fan of real live musicians honing their skills and playing for the joy of the craft, youre already here. The Tulsa Sound is shaped right here in this little dive where on any given night the musicians outnumber the fans.

Great location, prices, staff, parking, etc. I cant say enough good things about The Colony. Its a great place to hear music and avoid the annoying "downtown" crowd. Also, in the winter the fireplace aint bad ;)

Enjoyed the fireplace. So there i was sitting at the bar and two dragons walked in. the first one said "its hot in here" I then noticed his friend turn to him quickly and say "shut your mouth."

Prices are great, staff is nice. No smoking is allowed inside the bar but there is a large area outside for smokers.
