Ive loved Studio 35 for 17 years, and was thrilled when my husband bought me a gift card to there for my birthday. Tonight I took my 14 year old daughter out for a mother daughter night, to see a movie there. Big mistake. We were assaulted by a couple trying to keep the seats in front of them free of other guests. They poured beer on the seats as we prepared to sit down, and when we didnt leave fast enough, the threw beer all over my hair, back, and legs...throwing it at my child, too. When the bartender was informed, he said "Ok. Want a towel?" In shock, I took the towel, dried my hair and clothes as best I could. When I informed a second employee and asked to see a manager, one wasnt available and the response to my assault was "Okay." Id gladly trade the new woodwork and seats for the crappy old stuff and the old wonderful customer service. Apparently, women and children arent safe at Studio 35 anymore, and the employees are just fine with that. What a shame.

Nice little theatre. Picture and sound was good, excellent beer selection. The pizza from the place down the street was really good, too. Beer was expensive but popcorn was not bad for a movie theatre. Why not 5 stars? They have places for you to eat while watching the movie, but you cant order from your seat, and theres no table service. So you have to run back out and miss your movie to take advantage of the "eat pizza and drink beer while watching a movie" aspect. And their line was slow (one person running drinks and tickets), we didnt know this... so we ended up having to wait in line twice to order our food and almost missed the start of the movie. Compared to something like The Movie Tavern, the food was at least as good, the beer was better, the seats were better, but the service setup was worse. Great place, just plan ahead with your food and youll be good!

We rented the Studio for my son and his fiancees "Almost Married" party and it was perfect. Our guests loved the unique venue, the physical arrangement was marvelous for our crowd of 50. Eric, Stacy, Andy and the rest of the staff was awesome - helpful, friendly and so accommodating. At the very end we realized that we hadnt gotten a picture of the soon-to-be newlyweds with the marquee (which my son said was the best wedding thing to date!), which had already been changed back to the movie menu - so the staff put it back up for the photo op! That gesture in a nutshell sums up Studio 35. Thanks Studio 35 for helping make a milestone event even more special!

A Columbus landmark, Studio 35 is simply the best place to see a movie in the city. The staff here are always incredibly nice, the variety of beers on tap is breathtaking, and since their renovation, the picture and sound quality are top notch. Food can be ordered in from Clintonville Pizza a few doors down and it is always delicious. Parking can be tricky, as Indianola fills up and has rush hour restrictions, but there is generally spots on the side streets within a block or two. I went to their Sean of the Dead beertasting and it was some of the most fun Ive had all year. Go here as soon as you possibly can and revel in the amaze.

This place is like a secret you dont want others to know about. Easily the best little theater/bar Columbus has to offer. So many craft beers on tap to choose from. You can even order a pizza from the place next door and eat in the back of the theater at tables they have setup for just that purpose. And if you want an uncrowded big screen experience, go to one of their 4pm matinees. Make sure to check out their calendar of events for special movie nights and in-your-face Rocky Horror excitement.

Most excellent theater. Theyve upgraded everything in here in recent years, from seating to sound. Theres a bar adjacent, so you can watch the movie while you get faced, or you can choose to sit toward the back of the theater proper and eat your order from the pizza place next door. Yes, theres beer to go with. Basically, its everything you could want from a theater, including special screenings and events (some even free), so bypass the corporations and help keep this in my neighborhood.

This place is the best place in the world to go to in Clintonville. I get extremely excited every time I go. Their beer selection is phenomenal. I highly recommend going to a beer tasting and movie sometime. Its hilarious, people pee their pants in laughter and you get enough alcohol to feel great during the movie. Its mostly Clintonville residents that go and Id personally like to keep it that way because they sell out very quickly, but, just go to one and youll love it.

Imagine, if you will, the perfect movie theater. Then discard whats in your brain because youre wrong, this is it. Bar in the back, seats for people who just want to see the movie, and table seats for people who want delivery pizza. Its a local place that everyone should love, and its one of a handful of things that make me sad I dont live in Columbus anymore. (Like a close second to family and friends, but closer than I should probably admit online.)

This is a great place to see a film. They have a number of fun events routinely, as well as showing new releases and classics. Whats more, they have a full bar and a ton of beers on tap, and even a good food selection you are able to bring into the theater (there are chairs with tables in the back). If you are bored and looking to go out and have a beer, this is a great way to double down and get some good entertainment as well!

Studio 35 is a very cute one room theater. Its in one of my favorite neighborhoods Clintonville. Every first Saturday of the month they have a shadow cast showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show preformed by the Fishnet Mafia. The theater can be a bit untidy and is looking a bit shabby. There never seems to be enough bartenders. Especially when there is a line at the cash register of people buying movie tickets.

Studio 35 is a longtime favorite of mine. I cant come into town without stopping in for some pizza and local craft beer on bad movie night or to see Rocky Horror in true theatrical fashion. The first theater in the nation to score a liquor license, their first service bar and rotating draft list makes it the perfect local spot to meet with friends for a memorable night.

I love this place! They have fun events all the time, like beer tastings from local breweries while you watch a movie. Affordable ticket prices and they usually carry the top new releases. You enjoy food and drinks while you watch the movie. The crowd is fun, I came here for the opening night of Star Wars and lots of people were dressed up.

Great concept! Bar out front with good beer selection. One theater with decent movies, some old vintage as well as live sports sometimes. Only drawbacks is no food really (some small stuff and pizza from next door) and all the hipsters reciting every line out loud to classic movies. Youve seen Spaceballs 832 times, we get it.
