I was really disappointed by my experience here last night. The movie I saw with my friend was in theatre 7, and it was one of the worst movie theatres Ive ever been in. The seats were so wildly uncomfortable, the whole entire movie I had to adjust myself too many times to count to stop my backside from going numb. It was $20 total, for the worst seats Ive ever sat in my life. We tried to get a refund, but when the movie got out around midnight not a single employee could be found. Moral of the story, go to the Emagine Palladium 3 blocks away, $6 tickets with super comfy & reclinable chairs. Do not go here unless you want the most uncomfortable movie going experience of your life.

I recently saw a movie in theater 6. I cant comment on the other theaters, but the picture quality in my theater was a joke. It was worse than a home theater set up. There were two large black lines running vertically on the screen, which was incredibly distracting throughout the film. The screen surface itself was a strange mesh texture, with visible black dots whenever white text was shown. There was also a strange issue with white text on a black background, in which the text appeared to be visible on the wall behind the projection screen, also very distracting. The seats themselves were comfortable, but the image quality in my theater was embarrassing.

Im actually here as I write this waiting on the movie to start. First off, the staff is rude. We arent from the Birmingham area, but weve never been treated consistently as bad as at this theater. Staff are lazy and rude and it ruins the experience, no customer service. Also, the theaters have bright leds that dont shut off at all during movies. Some advice, if people have a better option, a more friendly, cheaper, theater that offers discounts right around the corner then people will stop going to your theater. We will not attend here again, we will give our time/money to Emagine. They are undeniably better than you.

Nice theatre, but they shoehorned 8 screens into the space that used to be a single stage and its audiance. Even making it two floors, half the screens are so small theyre little better than large screen TVs to me. The staff is usually nice enough. They only seem to have the basic food/drink choices. The whole place comes off just good enough to get by.

Small theaters make for a different experience but definitely a great time. Its my go to place to watch train wrecks like Independence Day 2 and have the whole theater to your party so you wont bother anyone as you make fun of it as a group. Also the parking lot behind it is cheap and you can walk right in the back entrance.

I wish they had the Poppin Olive popcorn. I used to get that all the time at Palladium 12 before it shut down. To be honest I dont really like Birmingham 8. I find the building very stuffy and the theaters are small. Also I dont feel that the technology is very up to date, the speakers are foggy and the image isnt that sharp

I cannot fault this theater for the absolutely inconsiderate and annoying teenagers that were in the theater at the time I was there. The worst experience Ive ever had. Everything else was great from the price of the tickets to seating, staff. Unfortunately I wont be back though, Birmingham is definitely douchetown USA.

Nice old-school theatre with really good popcorn. Seats are older theatre style so if youre looking for fancy recliners see a movie elsewhere. Use the parking structure behind the theatre and enter from the northwest corner of the structure. Prices are competitive with other local theatres.

The theater rooms were small, which was kind of nice actually. Unfortunately there was a lot of glare on the "screen" and a line through the whole movie while we were there. Seats were ok but didnt recline or anything like some other locations close by.

Wonderful neighborhood theater with a quaint, small town feel. Only downside is smaller seats and legroom is average. It is nicely situated in downtown Birmingham within walking distance of many eateries, coffee shops and with ample parking...

The theater is nice but the concessions sucked. Employees were rude and lazy. Did not provide any customer service and just stood behind the counter on their phones. There wasnt any food prepared and wait time were 30min. Unacceptable.

I have loved this theater for years! But i have been dispointed the last time I went. I noticed they do not have the "icee" brand slushies. ( No cherry or Coke/Pespi) Personally that is the best part about going to a movie theater

Great theater for bigger movies because of theater 1, any other theaters other than 1 have very uncomfortable seating. I love the layout of the lobby, very nostalgic feeling.

Really nice theatre!! They dont give discounts to students; it costs $1-$2 more than other theatres. That being said, I would definitely recommend seeing a movie here.
