Let us take a moment to remember the time honored democratic institution that was the American cinema. For today I bear sad news; it is dead (not really, but stay with me). Yes, faceless corporate shills determined to make a buck have decided, at no ones request, to take the same fee based approach that airlines use and apply it to movie theaters. Thats right, good seats now cost more! Yay! I speak of course of Reserved Seating, the latest capitalist swindle to increase revenue and play into entitlement culture. See, this lets them charge more by adding service or convenience fees to all online bookings. Not cool. And despite what the hip white kids walking into traffic while playing Pokemon are saying these days, not everyone in society has easy access to the internet or smartphones or even credit cards for making advance reservations. I know, shocking, poor people watch movies too! But hey, nobody wants to encounter poor people while watching a movie anyways, especially not at $16 a pop, right?

We went here to watch the Secret life of pets (terrible movie btw), but the theatre experience itself was so good that it compensated for what the movie lacked! Very nice and clean place. Helpful staff. Tickets were very reasonable! The seats are the best - nice and wide and reclines smooth. My kid enjoyed the very affordable arcade although there were just a couple of options - still a nice distraction while waiting. Some tips - if buying tickets online from Cinemark, you can avoid paying the $3 convenience fee if you pay with a cinemark gift card. Just buy the gift card online but remember it takes at least 1 business day for the online gift card to be activated - so do it ahead of time! Tip 2: if getting popcorn at the venue, go for the max size ($7) option since you a free refill on the way out (if going for the $7 option, remember to hold on to your empty paper tub till you leave or you wont get the refill!). Tip 3: of you can go on Tuesday, u get tickets for as low as $6.

I used to love going to this theater but lately my experiences have been horrible. Twice now ive had issues with buying assigned seating tickets online. I pick a seat on my phone and when the ticket is printed out its the front row, not where i choose to sit. Assigned seating is a horrible pointless hoop to jump through. The employees are all rude and care more about talking with each other than pretending they want or care about their jobs. Customer service is a joke. They recently remolded the snack area and when i was obviously confused about where to buy popcorn an employee behind the counter just blankly stared at me and whispered with another employee until i finally interrupted them to ask for popcorn. As if i was bothering them by making them do their jobs. I love the comfy chairs but this is ridiculous. Im not paying money to be treated rudely by a bunch of teenagers. Never coming back.

This used to be my favorite movie theater, before reserved seating. Since then, weve been turned away from movies even arriving there 45 min early. Then, I had a e gift card that I had difficulties figuring out how to use on there website. I called the theater and they said they couldnt take orders over the phone and to call corporate in the morning. Well with reserved seating, all the seats would have been gone by then. Then, after we had finally figured out how to buy our tickets with no help from cinemark, we had difficulty pulling up our tickets due to slow internet speed. Even though we had bought the tickets AND I showed her the card we had used, they still would not let us get our tickets. Finally, we got to the correct page, and found our confirmation number after I asked the attendant to call her manager so we could actually get help. We ended up missing the first 20 min of our movie.

This has been our go-to theater choice: new, clean, close to home, and the new reclining seats are very nice. But DO NOT like the new required reserved seat plan - slows down the ticket buying process, and means you cant change seats if the movie is too loud, you see friends and want to join them, or the people sitting nearby are annoying. Also, theres a service fee if you want to buy seats online from home to avoid the wait at the theater. And - its a really, really silly waste of time on a day when there was exactly only 1 other person in the theater. Management - please rethink this. Not value-added to this customer; but unnecessary and aggravating enough to make me choose a different theater.

I always have a really good experience when I go to Cinemark. The staff is typically very friendly, and the theatres are always clean. A couple days back I had an interaction with one of the managers, that left me kind of uncomfortable. I believe his name was Brett. Although I wont go into detail, I will say he had a pretty negative tone with me. This is an issue that should definitely be addressed seeing as customer service is about pleasing the customer. I work in the food industry, and it isnt hard to put on a smile and treat people with respect even if youre having a bad day. I will continue to go to Cinemark, but hopefully the next time I interact with Brett, he will compose himself better.

I would honestly give this CLUSTER F*** of a place 0 stars if i could, the staff is very rude and snarky (especially the manager) i feel bad for the other employees that work under her tyranny. I bought tickets for a movie and the shear rudeness of the guy whose dead ens job is to stand there and rip tickets which takes no skill at all i could do that job as a pre-schooler anybody could do his job but he cant even do that he had to be rude to me and my friends, we just decided to leave, DO NOT GO, THE EMPLOYEES ARE WRITING REVIEWS OF THEIR OWN PLACE, 0 stars, 0/10, two enthusiastic thumbs down to this disgrace of a movie theater... What a shame, NEVER coming back again

This theater is pretty amazing. They have large reclining seats and a very mind blowing A/V experience. However, if you do not order tickets ahead of time (online) you run the risk of not being able to sit next to someone you are going to see the film with. Seats are assigned, which takes any spur of the moment decision to see a popular flick out of play. The other thing, which is typical of most movie theaters, is that the employees dont care about their jobs with the exception of the bartenders (yes, you can buy alcohol; I was impressed with the selection of craft beer).

Tried to attend 4:55 showing of "It Follows" today 4/4/15. Rude people in last row of theater would not stop talking during feature. Asked them to stop; no luck. Asked manager to intervene; no luck. Theater did refund our money . I just dont understand that with all the notices during previews regarding respecting other people and the movie experience, some people feel they can ignore these notices and ruin the movie for others. Talk about disrespect. If Cinemark cannot handle these issues , Im afraid it will go the way of Showcase Cinemas in Bond Hill.
