“Misrepresentation in brochure !” Ghost Town reopened and their beautiful shiny professional brochure (currently being handed out on site and in the community) says: ADMISSION price $24.95, THRILL RIDES , exciting shows, etc. The brochure does NOT call the ticket price a "transportation fee"! Nor does it say that the ONLY thrill ride is a zip line that you can pay another $45/person to do! Well, the whole thing is a SCAM and someone should be held responsible for their misrepresentation for what is really on site! A creaky ride on the chair lift (is it even safe?), NO other rides operating (three child rides were closed and there ARE NO ADULT RIDES in running order), shows that are performed by less than talented dancers and actors/actresses (one of the guys belt, holster and gun fell off during the show and he was caught in his chair and couldnt stand up; during the shoot out no one ever jumped off the building), DIRTY run-down restrooms and gift shops with only made in China products. The train was not even running! We were afraid to eat any of the food cooked there--the only thing I saw open was the pizza place--fudge shop and all other dining was closed! Our visit was the last week of July so its not even the end of their season. It took one hour to walk the grounds and ride back down to safety. As you EXIT, there is a sign that says "NO REFUNDS ON TRANSPORTATION FEES". How can the town of Maggie Valley allow this place to misrepresent what is available? It is giving the area a bad name...we heard this from many people who were vacationing while there. One couple with five children was disappointed that they couldnt get the "return the second day if you arrive after 3" tickets because the park was closed on Tues. They decided to not purchase tickets and the kids were so upset. I wanted to scream--"go somewhere else! You can do this place in one hour!" For many people with families, one hundred is a big chunk of vacation money and its sad that Ghost Town is allowed to bilk people this way. Well not go back to Maggie Valley area to vacation again (and usually I am the one who wants to extend our stay wherever we go). The area is in decline and its so sad since it was such a great place in years past.

I am the spirit of Ghost Town. I am here to expose any and all that would sabotage this piece of Americana, and to help bring back life to Maggie Valley and support the good people of Maggie. I am here only to preserve the park and provide facts the public is not privy to. In this age and time of absolute evil, corruption and greed, what do our children have to aspire to? This park preserves the innocence of a simpler time. Gave life back to the cowboy image for children and educate them of a time before impressionable movies and video games that seems to lack family value and boundaries. This park also was a rich economic source for Maggie Valley providing quality jobs with a wonderful family atmosphere, as well as bringing in wonderful revenue to this beautiful town hidden in the mountains of Western North Carolina. All this has gone away, and has been veiled to the community and as well as ALL Ghost Town fans. My mission is to bring the park back to its original splendor with the help of all its fans and enthusiast. A park everyone would want to visit and be apart of. NO MORE LIES FROM CORRUPT PARK OWNERS WITH THEIR OWN AGENDAS!!! If you want to know the truth about the park add RB Coburn on facebook. Do not waste your money folks, its not the place it used to be and none of the people on this photo work there anymore. Robert Bradley got fired for being shot in the leg by the new owner Alaska Pressley who only wishes to turn the park in its entirety to Holy Land.

We paid $70.00. The hole park suck. There was no rides for the bigger kids. One ride open for a three years old. Suck. Got to the third level no rides. The train was not working. The only thing that was open was the saloon and the gun show. Sucks. The saloon show was very bad. The girls was bad and they were not in step. They could not sing. One of the girl had tattoos all over her right leg and that was not a pretty. She could not dance or sing and she did not care if she was there or not. She need to be fired. A can drink was $2.00 and water was $2.00. The gun show suck too. The big guy that was telling about the gun show was reading word for word from an computer. He did not know his lines. The whole park really sucks. If you want to waste your money got ahead and go. But I will never go again. Sucks, Sucks, Sucks.

"Ghost Town Theme Park will reopen for our new season Friday June 20th 2014 at 10:00 a.m and will run to the end of October 2014." is what I got from their web site under "Operating Schedule". Family members have talked about it for ages, so this year were going. Booked a hotel in Maggie Valley. Arrived Tuesday, July 22, 2014 about 09:50. No-one there. A sign says they are open Friday through Monday. During the twenty minutes we hung out there four other families showed up. None had seen anything on the web site about being closed Tuesday through Thursday. Come on people, maintain the web site. The cousins who live a mile away were surprised they were only open for the extended weekend.

Hello all...My name is Jamie Gardner of Olive Grove Ministries and I have been conducting the Church Services up at Ghost Town since the first Sunday that we opened this year and it has been great. I too was raised around the excitement of being able to go to Ghost Town as a kid, teenager and then adult and I agree that it is of the last true venues of the "simple life." It is taking some hard work and time but I believe that the hard work will all pay off with Gods help. Come on up and make this a reality for all to be a part of for years to come. Gods blessings to you all! ~Jamie

I grew up going to Ghost Town. Im 36 now and have shared this fun with my kids. Im glad the original owner Alaska bought the property back. She will make sure the place is taken care of. The chair lift up the mountain is a ride in itself. The rollar coaster down the side of the mountain is pure adrenoline rush. The old time western shoot outs are still entertaining. I love & miss this place. :) Short drive from Asheville.

I went to ghost town back from 1976 to 1990 2 times a season and it was awesome, I gave it a 5 star plus back then but now it does not have R.B. It needs owners that are willing to put money into theme park to have a sucessful future ms Presely is old does not have ambitous to succeed, need someone younger with millions to remodel and bring up to date rides to park.

It was completely awesome. The staff was kind and helpful, can not wait to go back. The experience was one of a kind, the shows were great. We have 2 boys, ages 12 and 8 and they both loved it. So glad they reopened Ghost Town. A definite must see. A wonderful family place to visit. Thank you Ghost Town employees for making our family trip a wonderful experience.
