Asians not welcome. Several park rangers & tourists said avoid this place. Still went and they were right. Not worth the visit but the town is nice. I came with my son and got a bad vibe. Not very welcoming from the people who work there. There were only us and one other family at closing. Had a bald guy who drove a motorcycle follow us inside from the moment we walked in, watch us in the gift shop and then follow us out when leaving. Asians and alike should not go here, maybe ok for white folks. I felt sad they were afraid of me so I bought a postcard to break the mood. Hope they read this and learn to treat everyone the same no matter their race . I do not recommended this place as it is not worth it. Dont have to take my word, Ask a park ranger and see what they say.

Privately owned tourist trap! I enjoyed the natural beauty of the overlooks and I like the folklore but find it a real shame this is a privately owned for profit business rather than a state park. My experience was less than expected due to several things I feel wouldnt have happened if it wasnt privately owned. You will pay 7$ for entry and have less than 10min worth of trails to hike. Views equal to the parkway. Locals call it "the rock that blows" Over priced gift shop. I doubt Ill ever return.

If you are traveling from a long distance (just like we drove for 3 hours), just to see "The Blowing Rock", then its really not worth it. Its $7 per person too. But if this place is on your way OR if youre nearby, then its worth a visit once. The Blowing Rock is the only major attraction inside the park. Good place to click a lot of pictures, so avoid going on weekends as it might be crowded. Blue Ridge Parkway is amazing. We discovered some amazing trails with beautiful scenery. Enjoy :)

Definitely worth the price of admission. There are nice little family friendly trails and some breathtaking views. If youre looking for a serious trail it is not to be found here, although there are many nearby. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is expensive considering that the Blue Ridge Parkway has equally amazing views in a myriad of locations for free. If youre on a budget this one can be easily skipped.

So you have to pay to get in here. 8 per person or 6 if a veteran or senior. Its definitely not worth the money at all. Views are amazing but not worth the money. Go on blue ridge parkway youll see the exact same thing for FREE! If you must go I think youll agree with me when you finish it in five minutes. Only reason they got 3 starts are that they are super friendly people and they allow dogs which was great.

This place was awesome. Absolutely breathtaking views. I love North Carolina. However it was so cold that day that we could not stay out there as long as I would have liked. But that was nobodys fault but nature. They even had a Santa Claus because we were there close to Christmas. Friendly and helpful staff that explained everything we needed. Even a good little shop to have hot chocolate in on such a cold day.

Not enough space and beauty. Only good for once. You can get a good view of valley and fall colors if lucky enough to be at the right time. They charge 7$ per person which is a bit high for this place. If visiting on fall weekend you may have to wait for long to get a parking spot. Also, if you are going with small babies then be aware that there hardly any ramp for strollers.

$7 entry for adults, less for children. The cottage is adorable. The people were friendly. The bathrooms were clean (and bright green!). The view is beautiful and the trail is just enough to get you moving after a long car ride! Very quaint little spots with tables and chairs for a rest or to eat.

Second time now going and it is great! Only 7$ for adults, views are amazing and there are quaint sitting areas to enjoy, even some more secluded areas. Honestly a great place to visit for great mountain views, and on the cheap. Staff is also super nice!

Its truly a great place to enjoy the beauty of the overlooks and trails. It has a waterfall and flowers throughout. Shops to browse through as well. Love the peace and beauty it has to offer. Great for memories and photos with friends and family.

While I loved the views, walking paths and gifts in the shops, it was expensive. If you take your time and walk slow, take pictures and look in the gift shops, its only a 20min. experience. Four adults and one child was around $27.

The views are amazing! However, we payed $7 a piece just to see the views. You cant hike anywhere, and there isnt much to do other than look at the views. It took us all of 20 minutes while taking our time at every viewpoint.

Weak... locals told me after we paid $7 to see the view they call this "the rock that blows". Yes its beautiful but tacky with gift shops and admission price. In and out in about 15 minutes.

I had never been here before but had driven by SO many times. We did this on a family day out! We loved it! The workers were super nice. Beautiful place and some neat finds of local talent!

When we went it was foggy but still a pretty amazing view down the mountain face and just walking around. A lot of effort was put into this attraction to make it enjoyable and beautiful.

This is a small but nice area with a great view of all the main peaks in the area. The staff was very nice and answered all my questions. They had a definite pride in their town.

Beautiful town nestled off the Blue Ridge Parkway with everything you could possibly need to experience Smokey Mountain life. My absolute favorite place to visit in the mountains!

Save your time and money and head to the parkway. Natural formations like this shouldnt require admission. I recommend heading to Mt. Mitchell near Asheville on the parkway.

Great view of the mountains. Its a small fee but worth it to keep a landmark preserved. Beautiful little park with a gorgeous view. Very relaxing and perfect for all ages.

Beautiful view, nice place for picnic. This is a great place for people who dont like a big parks with long trails) Few observation decks, 2 mins walk from each other.

I wasted 5 minutes of my life I will never get back. Definitely not worth the $6.00. The view you get on google maps is probably better than the one you get there.

3 stars for the view, but I was a little miffed that there was no option to hike up to the rock. You pay some money and walk right through a door and there it is.

BREATHTAKING views!!! It was very inexpensive to walk the trail but the gift shop was outrageously priced. They were pet friendly and I loved the atmosphere.
