SS on a bustling Friday evening has all the charm of an airport in an outdoor flea market at the county fair. Outdoorsy, hipster amenities abound, but the environment is overwhelmingly chaotic; a post modern zoo where seasonal, migratory white families are the main exhibition. Hungry? Join the line of 27 patrons for no frills $11 burgers and $9 BBQ sandwiches served with warmish tater tots. Planted on a riverside park 10 times larger than Bywater (a mile down stream), generic playlist fire throughout the property from a no expenses spared QSC multi-array sound system; colorful spot lights that dot the river perimeter illuminating giant trees have a slightly magical effect. Startingly, adults (grown-up humans) adorned with empty baby Bjorns flapping like unhinged overalls, sloshing hoppy pints in hand, chase children over the gravel grounds, calling: "Copter, Jenson, Magnolia" You will ask yourself: "where am I and how did I get here?" Drink up.

We stopped here briefly for a drink and the end of a local bands set. I really wish we could have come for a bit longer, as the venue and surrounding yard was gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Plenty of free space to walk and enjoy the river view, a spacious indoor stage area, and lots of unique decor created a very welcoming and unique atmosphere. My wife ordered the local Mead drink with a fruit flavor, our only experience with the places offerings, but based on that, we would highly recommend. My wife claims that it was hands down the best drink she has ever had. Superb. Hopefully we get a chance to come again. Until then, do it for us and give this place some much deserved business!

So...while on my camping trip in Asheville last weekend...I attended an art & music festival Saturday night at Salvage Station. Somehow I dropped my phone and wasnt able to find it because it was so dark. My brand new 128GB iPhone 6s Plus...that I just recently replaced less than a month ago. I contacted them and the associates went out to find my phone and are shipping it back to me today....free of charge! I cant wait to go back to Asheville and visit them again....I had a great time and all of the staff were extremely welcoming. Them finding and sending me my phone back was just icing on the cake. Thanks a million!

Visited on a Thursday evening in January to sample the food, overall disappointed. The atmosphere is great, especially in the summer when guests can go outside and enjoy the riverside vibe. The food, however, was not great. The po boy cajun sandwich lacked flavor and the ribs were dry. The tater tots were good, though, and so was the sweet potato souffle, but the mac and cheese was cold. The nachos were good. Overall, this is a good place to go hang out on a warm day, drink beer, then take an Uber somewhere else to eat.

The place is new, has cool set up, stage, disc golf baskets and a food bar, but the prices are a bit much...even PBR is $4! (Perfect if youre looking for a place that screams gentrification here in Asheville...Tacos are $9 and "Signature" cocktails are TEN DOLLARS....a bit steep. pretty sure I can go right down the road and get a well drink for $2...same with the PBR!)

Very cool space offering a paddle-up bar on the French Broad River. Indoor and outdoor bars offer craft cocktails, beer, and wine. They have a small restaurant that offers tacos, burgers, salads, and GOOD tater tots. This is a great place to see live music or hold an event. Large lawn on the river has giant fire pits, benches, and open area for outdoor activities.

I really did like it alot. There food was pretty fantastic they gave large portions and not that expensive. They could have a better selection of soft drinks but all in all it was great. I do wish I had choose a better night to go as far as the music because that was kinda lame and boring the night I went so I cant wait to go when they have a better group.

We had our Sunny Point Staff Party here and it was great. The space was right by the river and they provided a private bar. The staff was great and very accommodating. They provided the food which was delicious. The price of the whole event was very fair and didnt seem outrageous. Our staff loved it. Thank you so much Salvage Station. We will be back.

Visited in early July 2016 when it had been open about a month. Great outdoor space! Having multiple bars is a huge plus, along with being able to order food. There is an ATM by the bathrooms. Cant bring your own food, beverages, or pets. If you are tubing down the French Broad River, you can get out at the Salvage Station and have a beer!

If you want to have your beer with a bunch of kids running around your feet, this is your place. Not quite a fan of the atmosphere, and its all outside theres no indoor section for those really hot days, but the food they do offer is very good. We got the Cuban sliders as well as the beef nachos, and both were pretty awesome.

Great place to grab some beers and sit by the river. They have a _massive_ outdoor area plus several indoor and covered areas as well. The food is some of the best bar food in Asheville. Get the Cuban sliders, they are amazing. The tater tots are good served with queso dop. Lots of parking too which is rare in this area.

Great ambiance. Good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent for families as there is lots of room for kids to run around and play. The downside is that draft beer selection is limited (they only had 4 beers on tap) and on the pricey side...about $6 for a pint. However, a great place to relax and enjoy the day.

Great outdoor area, food and bar, will never go to another concert here again though. Apparently they need to bolt down there railing in the front of stage bc if you touchy touchy they kick you out... lame as hell, I mean what is it there for? Lol Ill stick to orange peel for concerts...

Above-average place to have a drink and grab a bite. Tons of outdoor space with fire pits and seating, multiple bars, and an indoor stage and dance floor for live music. $18 for a double Goose and Cranberry was a little shocking, but the environment made it sting a little less.

This look like it is going to become a great music venue. On your first visit it can be a little confusing as you might think of it as a bar. It is set up more of a food court style where you order food in one spot, drinks in another spot and coffee in even another spot.

Great spot right by the French Broad. No pets but it is kid friendly. They only have a handful of tap lines so the beer variety is a bit muted but they are consistently good picks. On busy days they have multiple bars running which really helps with bar congestion.

This place is going to be amazing. Right on the water, tons of bar games, ridiculous amount of parking space and hanging space. Fire pits, great beer selection, excellent stage and music lineup. Well done Salvage Station, I will be returning frequently.

This is a great venue for its entertainment--great bands, awesome beer choices and amazingly good food. I especially love the frequent daytime events for families! They have a huge yard and are very community-minded--super addition to Asheville!
