Im torn. One hand it was great to see all the old tables, but not happy in how they are setup. Most machines were not level. The tables on the popular machines had I higher pitch to them and not stock pinballs. The three tables I played were the same tables I own at home and its obvious that they increased these pitches and ball weight to get more people on then off the machine. When you have thousands of hours on a machine, that you know well, being setup improperly, its disappointing. Star Wars pinball was so off balance the ball would literally roll Up the flipper or out the right drain. This is so a tourist attraction more than a museum. Amazing to me the lack of classic machines. The electromechanical machines seem to give the owners trouble. You also dont use the heaviest balls in the mechanical Era. Disappointing as a pinball junkie, but interesting. Youre NOT going to get the massive high scores you are used to on these machines. I give them a B- on how the machines are maintained. Go to Vegas if you want the real deal, or Pennsylvania.

This place is a goldmine for any of you Pinball Wizards out there..We stumbled upon this place by accident while visiting the Grove Arcade which is located directly across the street.. When I entered the front door I was greeted by an employee who explained how this amazing place came to be and how it operated... Basically you pay one price($13 for adults as of this writing) and you play all day and evening...yes you can get your pinball and arcade(they have these also)Fix for such a small price... You can look around without committing to purchase an entry if you promise not to touch any buttons... This place has a very impressive collection of machines...dating from the 40s onward.. there were a few in here including the Giant Hercules Machine that I have not seen since I was a teenager.. The rear two rooms have some old school classic arcade games such as Pacman and Donkey Kong.. I am looking forward to going back and getting some game on...

$15 for unlimited pinball, classic arcade games (e.g. Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Qix, Contra, Dragons Lair, etc.) beer, etc. Whats not to like? If youre more interested in the museum aspect and learn a little about pinball, the staff simply do not give you a wristband that approves you for playing all the games, and they say you are free to walk around and look as long as you do not touch any buttons. There really were some historical pinball machines in there, some from the 1970s, some from even earlier. Some older machines were no longer playable and used as display only machines. The staff also seemed incredibly knowledgeable about pinball and gaming in general (one member of the staff was training a kid on how to get through Dragons Lair, a very difficult game). I sincerely wish I were a local, because I know I would come back to this place all the time!

I would highly recommend this place for a private Birthday Party!! The price to rent it is out of this world reasonable!! Considering other options out there today.. I Surprised my wife for her Birthday yesterday and brought some of her friends!! She is calling it her Best Birthday Ever!! The employees there are very helpful, the place is very clean and just fun! If you grew up in the 80ds it like going into a time machine!! Can not say enough Good things about this place!!! Wife made me very good breakfest today!! This place was a throwback to the 80s for me. When we first got there, I though it was pricey for the 6 rows of games. But I was alerted by one of my children to the presence of several more rooms in the back with what can only be described as a treasure trove of 80s video games... Galaga, Tron, Dig Dug, Frogger, Tempest and more! This mixed with the 80s music playing and the memorabilia on the walls.... I started checking my watch to see if it was time to meet my Mom and the mall exit. A nice little gem to burn some time in during the cold season. Will be stopping in on our next return.

Since catching the pinball bug i try to make a point to stop by every pinball place i can find. The pinball museum of Asheville is one of the coolest stops ive been to! They have a lot of interesting machines and the interior accents/decorations do a great job of transporting you to a different place. They have incredible pinball machines from history, including the massive Hercules and humpty-dumpty, the first pin with flippers. The entry price is fair, and the experience is truly worth it. You can play all the pinball and classic arcade your heart desires! Well done guys!

This place time warped me right back to my childhood. 70+ pinball machines and around 30 classic arcade machines. You cant beat one price to play all the machines all day. Everytime I looked up I noticed some kind of 70s, 80s nicnac hanging on the wall or from the celling. They have some of the oldest machines and the largest pinball machine ever built on display. They also have drink can holders attached to the machine legs Incase you want a Dr pepper or a beer from their bar. I cant wait to go back. Word of advise, get there before they open to get in line!

A must visit for any gamer! This place is a blast from the past in such a good way. $15 gets you unlimited play on 25 or more pinball machines. They also have a backroom with classic cabinet games and some Retropies setup to play older console games. My only complaint would be some of the patrons let their children stay on a machine for too long; I was there for over an hour on Saturday and one woman let her child play on a single machine the entire time. Most people are super courteous but I have found the absent minded parents to be the worst.

Best experience Ive had in a LONG time. Friendly and helpful staff, new and classic pinball machines, well maintained. Great classic video arcade as well. They keep the crowd down by allowing only a certain number of folks in at any given time as to allow all who enter to enjoy every aspect that they have to offer. Great atmosphere for families too, me an my 9 year-old stayed there all day and had the most fun we had ever in an arcade. Brilliantly conceived and implemented, highly recommended.

This is my new favorite hangout when visiting downtown Asheville. Its my adolescent fantasy to have access to unlimited pinball and classic arcade games for a single fee, plus canned beer for a few dollars more. Beats finding a way to get from North Carolina to Lake Winnipesaukee, and you cant walk around with a beer at the similar venue known as Funspot/American Classic Arcade Museum. Both are "fun spots." Maybe bring a few disinfecting wipes.

Great selection of machines, reasonable price-you get to play for as long as you want for $13 Bored my wife to tears, I spent 3 hours there and she finally went to the Grove Arcade across the street. Made me feel 17 again. Staff are friendly and knowledgable, i was able to discuss the innards of the machines and repairing them with the staff as I did some pinball repair work while in high school
