The Wolfe house itself is interesting and well kept with many pieces from the Wolfe family. Much of the original decor and device remains in the house, which is pleasant temperature-wise year round. Our guide was knowledgeable and seemed greatly interested in the Wolfe family and their history. We enjoyed the museum, though I would have liked to learn more about the historical significance of the town and family. The shop was neat with Thomas Wolfe books and books about the area, time, and author.

Went here on a whim, and glad that we did. My family enjoyed touring this house more than the Biltmore! Aside from *not* being squeezed between velvet ropes with countless other tourists (unlike Biltmore), our guide really brought alive the history of the house. Ive never even read anything by Thomas Woolfe, and I still found it very fascinating. Highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this wonderful museum! David, our guide, was totally knowledgeable about Thomas Wolfe, his works, and the history of the day. He is also very entertaining with a dry sense of humor. The exhibitions and movie, in the visitor center, are very well designed. Id think that even folks who arent Wolfe fans will enjoy the tour.

Our guide was one of the best guides ever. His name I dont remember but he was a young brown haired guy. He spent a lot of time making My grandson very comfortable. He colored pictures with him and he gave him a scavenger hunt book...that kept his attention.

I LOVE this place so much. I did NOT want to leave this house. We have many tourist attractions here in Asheville (like the Biltmore estate) but this is by far my favorite. Its my dream house, even before I went.

I visited this house back in 1979. As a long time fan of his writing it was a great experience. The guide I had was excellent and quite familiar with Wolfes history. I highly recommend a visit.

Quite interesting to go and visit. However, if you go to the museum before you will learn everything they tell you on the tour.
