LITTLE SHOP of HORRORS: I was appalled by the volume of the sound, right from the pre-play announcements to the music. Starting with the trio (whose voices were probably excellent) who became shriller by the measure seemingly due to excessive treble. In fact, they were so loud and shrill that we could not understand the words most of the time. And then there was the band, who seemingly had to play fortissimo 100% of the time. Very disappointed in your production, which was probably good, if only I did not have to cover my ears half the time. I thought that musical theater was supposed to have some subtlety and variable dynamics, not a constant blast of sound.

I had the privilege of seeing A Christmas Carol here with my girlfriend, and it was a wonderful experience. The performance was top notch, and the service at the bar was friendly and efficient. We were both so impressed that we will be frequenting the theatre more often.

For theatergoers with hearing problems, one performance (sometimes two) in a run features open captioning where you can read the actors words as they are performing onstage. This augments Gevas excellent fm sound system.
