This was an awesome "out of the box" cardio experience. For starters, you never would of known this location ever existed here in Rochester. Located right on Gregory Street, next to Tap and Mallet. After getting a pre-workout climbing 5 flights of stairs in the building, you finally arrive at the amazing Highland Room Ballroom. This Ballroom really is a site to see, beautifully laid out with hardware floors and chandeliers. The class we all took was Charleston dance, which involved A LOT of kicking and squatting. Doriel Pryntz was an AMAZING instructor for our class, and he made you feel comfortable getting into the "Groove Juice Swing" of things. I felt like I was part of the Mickey Mouse Club with him leading the show. Cardio Charleston IS A WORKOUT!!!- no joke, I slammed my entire bottle of Karma Water in the first half-hour. Even the next day before work, I was feeling it in my thighs, legs, and butt. I like to sum up Cardio Charleston as a mix between soccer, rhythm, and dance ( kick kick squat back step). If you never did this before, try it!!! Doriel has a presence that will make you feel really comfortable no matter what the dance situation is, which is a hard characteristic to find in human beings in general. Overall: spectacular unique work-out with friends and fellow Rochesterians! Excellent instructors, HARD WORK-OUT, Great Results, Upbeat Music, and one heck of an Amazing Ballroom!!! I will be back.

I was brand new to dancing and didnt know anyone in this community when I first took a dance class with Groove Juice Swing but everyone was so nice and made me feel comfortable! I absolutely love the dance and the music. Great experience; I plan to spend most of my free time here for the rest of my life.

Probably the happiest to go on Wednesdays. It is known to cause one hundred people to laugh at once while dancing swing. Currently, it is being reviewed as a treatment for people who are in search of oxytocin. It is located on top the bar ButaPub and is close to the ice cream galore Hedonists.
