I am a 7th grade teacher. Each fall I bring my students to see a play at The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck. This year we saw Inherit the Wind, but in years past weve seen Sunrise at Campobello, Sleepy Hollow, Into the Woods, The Telltale Heart. Rhinebeck is always such a pleasure to work with. They are accommodating of our school schedule and usually arrange special performances just for our school. They are generous with their time, and the cast and crew always provides an opportunity for a Q&A session with our students. The theater is small and quaint (not a bad seat in the house!) and picturesque with a lovely lawn outside where our students eat lunch. Rhinebeck is a great place to see great theater. The productions are always artful and unique and the acting is fantastic. Ive been back without my students and will always check whats playing! A wonderful option for theater north of NYC!

I love musicals and I go to about 2 or 3 a season at the Center. They are always amazing. The quality of the talent in their shows is amazing for community - or ANY- theater. Once in a while I have to rate one of their performances from my usual 10/10 to a 12 or 15. Thats what I thought of last nights performance of La Cage. Many of the same wonderful talents perform over and over, but they have some newer young talents that I am just loving. I dont want to name names, because all the performers deserve to think I am referring to them. I cant wait for The Producers, one of my three favorite musicals ever, but I really do miss the Gilbert & Sullivan shows. Thank you, to everyone involved in the Center!!
