A wonderful old theatre, still under improvements. It has a rustic, industrial charm, with its exposed brick and what appears that it may have been the original stage and curtains. The seating used at the performance I attended on 01/17/15, were old metal folding chairs without any cushion. But that has nothing to do with why I rated it so low.... The apparent "senior" staff person on that night had absolutely No Clue about what he was doing! Most notably, he had absolutely no understanding of customer service. Literally half of the audience were unable to hear the performer "The Amazing Kreskin" due to a problem with the sound system. I stepped out into the lobby to find this young man in charge. I attempted to let him know that many of us were unable to hear and then suggested that he please at least make Mr. Kreskin aware (it is a very audience interactive show and Mr. Kreskin was becoming equally annoyed with audiences lack of participation). Although I was unaware of it, I could take from his response that others had already expressed the concern. But that still did not justify his immediate reaction to yell at me and threaten to have me removed from the theatre. I was dumbfounded (and by the look on the faces of the other theatre staff present, they were also.). Not sure how that would have gone for him because as I returned to my seat there was a line of other patrons going to express the same concern. As it turned out, in a later segment of the show when Mr. Kreskin used the hand held mic, it was perfectly clear. So for the simple fix of just switching microphones, half of the audience missed over half of the $30 / ticket show. What an incompetent amateur. I could go on about him, those sitting around me were commenting on him from the very beginning before the show even began when he stepped up to the stage to announce upcoming events. His manner of dress was completely unprofessional, looking as if he had just stepped out of the alley, and his ability to speak was not what one would expect from someone with any experience in theatre, he sounded like he had a mouthful of marbles. But that is another matter... Cool place, but owners and upper management need to do a better job selecting "senior" staff if they have any hope of it succeeding.

My family loves the Milton Theatre and all it has brought to our community. My three children have participated in many camps and workshops at the theater. They have gained acting and singing skills as well as behind the scenes tech experience with lights and sound. They are more confident and self assured young people. I cannot say enough about the educational programs offered. I also have been thrilled to have more cultural experiences so close by for my family. Fred Munzert, the owner, is also a class act. We love the theater.

The Milton Theater has been instrumental in the re-energizing of our downtown. The streets are alive, people are coming to town and new little stores and restaurants are blooming. The professionalism, variety and number of shows and programs for both adults and children is enormous considering the small staff. Freds heart is always in everything he does here 110%. I love the revitalization and the tremendous support of all of the volunteers. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

What an asset to Milton and the area! The theatre seems to have a pulse on whats exciting and popular in the community and they are always bringing in new types of shows and performers for all ages. Fred the owner is clearly passionate about his job and it shows. In addition to the great events, the space is stunning with its own unique vibe. Exposed brick, industrial elements, really awesome wooden bar. You at least have to come to something once!

A place for the arts is a place for the passionate, and the Milton Theatre expresses its passion loud and clear. Whatever genre, style, energy or vibe you are in search of, you will most definitely find it here. I encourage any considering to look at upcoming shows on the website, or talk to someone at the theater or in the community to see what might fit your fancy. Life without art is bland. All you need is a little colour.

I volunteer at Milton Theatre. There are so many fun shows to attend. This theatre stood empty for several years, and now its starting to grow. Community Arts works on a shoestring budget; support is so important.
