Green Ridge is my favorite Golf Course in the area, and I play alot of golf..... The course is a throwback to the mid 1900s style golf course, with small greens, and narrow fairways. The course has a beautiful layout, with great views, and it has a unique clubhouse/bar which is situated in an old farmhouse. The owner of the course displays tons of golf antiques and memorabilia inside the clubhouse. Back to the golf course...... Many people say "Green Ridge is an easy course", well that isnt true. The course record is 69, and it is target golf all the way. Since I play here so often and the greens are small, when I go to other courses with their huge greens, I find that my GIR has increased because of playing at Green Ridge. Finally, the best part about playing at GreenRidge is that the people that play there are all very nice, as well as the people that work there. Since it doesnt get tons of play , I can play 18 holes in under 3 hours.

If you are a golf purist, this is your paradise. A venue where you enter the proshop and instantly walk back in time. You have to see it to believe it! A golf museum full of thousands of artifacts you wont find anywhere else. Classic Americana here... from the owners kindness and honesty to the most reasonable prices youve ever heard of. This place is the real deal. Very traditional yet challenging course which was built originally in the early 1960s but still being changed and improved today. The owner built the back 9 in the 1980s and even today he is reworking two holes for the better. He even shovels the snow off of the greens so folks can play in the winter! The only NY course that does anything like that... that Im aware of anyway :)

Pretty good course, and the owners are blunt and truthful about the conditions. They will close the front 9 if it gets too bad since it is on lower lying land and can get soggy when it rains alot. But, the owners are great, they keep the course open as long as there is no snow on the ground. One cant really logically expect the course to be in perfect condition in the late fall or winter, but you can be happy that youve found a place to play so late or early in the year. The price isnt too bad either.
