I called The Piggery and asked for pork neck and was told that it was possible to buy it at them, I just had to order it first. When I went to there store and wanted to order I was told that they dont sell pork nect, so instead I ordered 4lb port breast. I was following a very specific traditional pork roast recipe and asked them to cut "vertical with 0.5 inches between each cut through the rind but not into the meat" and had the order confirmed twice to make sure they understood the specificity. What I got was 5+lb pork breast that was cut diagonally and ruined the rind because I couldnt make equal length crackling with the rind. At least they only cut 4 places and not with the 0.5 inches I had specified as well...

Legitimate Butchery. The smell when you walk in is amazing, only real Butcher Shops have that smell. Clean. Fresh. Local. They have a wide aray of Local Beef, Pork, Lamb, Chicken and even Duck...Even Local Milk and Cheeses. As I was checking out, they had some realy fresh bread and treats from a local Baker. so glad I stopped in, this is now part of my weekly grocery.

Hmm.. How many buzzwords can I add..? Well-intentioned fads aside, the products sold here are all very local, the animals offered as food for humans lived happy lives prior to their slaughter, the meats are prepared on site, the employees dont get paid slave wages, and not all but most of the food is organic or not GMO.

The Piggery is awesome. It is the storefront for a local pig farm, so everything is local and delicious. The people who run it are also incredibly nice. In addition to running a food joint, they also offer butchery services so you can get custom pork cuts and products. An absolute must check if you are in Ithaca.

Love, love, love this place. The meats are great, variety is great, staff is so friendly and helpful, and they keep expending their offerings. My family talks of moving but this place keeps coming up as a reason why I cannot move away!

If you want local, pasture raised fresh cuts of beef, pork and chicken the Piggery is your place! FYI: Google hours of operation are incorrect. Please go to the Piggery website for current store hours where the summer hours are posted.

Happened upon the Pigery on our way to the winerys and was very pleasantly surprised, friendly staff and awesome sandwiches. So awesome that we went right back in for seconds!!!! Cant recommend it enough!!!
