The wine itself is fairly good. Lovely views of Cayuga Lake. However, we had numerous disappointments while there. We heard great things about their sandwiches, but they would not take our order until we paid for the sandwiches. We waited 15 minutes in line at the cash register to pay. And only then did they start to make the food. It took another 25 minutes to actually get the food. Then, to our surprise, we bought a $15 bottle of chilled wine to have with our sandwiches, and they informed us they would charge us $5.00 to open it. We said "why? we are drinking it here in your restaurant." And they told us it was a NY State law and they had to charge us the $5.00 opening fee. We were shocked but paid it. We learned at the next winey, however, and numerous wineries after that, that the Long Point $5.00 opening fee was a complete farce - just something they made up to make more money. We bought a case of wine for about $160, spent $20 on two sandwiches, spent $15 on a bottle, and then were forced to spend another $5.00 to be able to drink their wine! Sandwiches were excellent, but we wont go back there again.

What started out as a nice taste-testing, ended with our entire group of 20 leaving after being yelled at by an unprofessional & condescending man behind the counter. One of our group tipped over a bottle which then rolled off the crowded counter & crashed on the floor. This was obviously an accident and we werent even able to utter an apology before we were humiliated by this man. He yelled our "behavior" was unacceptable. His reaction was unacceptable. We left without purchasing any items, including lunch for 20. Never again will we darken this winerys door. We went down the road & had a wonderful lunch at another winery, of which there are many to choose from in the area that are actually nice to their customers.

Really tasty wines, great variety, beautiful setting with amazing views of the lake. Plus, Gary was a great host, taught us a lot and since it wasnt crowded, even showed us the barrel room. Ive been to a bunch of wineries along the Finger Lakes, and this was a great one, highly recommend!

Friendly and quiet My wife and I visited Long Point mid-week. We were on top of a hill overlooking Cayuga lake, taking in the soft summer breeze, couldnt be better. And the wines were great!
