The location of this establishment is great. I love the story behind the proprietors. I came here for date night after hearing so much about it. The décor was a bit dated. When you think of a restaurant in a winery you would expect a much more relaxed and intimate feel. But this place had a much more of a hustle and bustle vibe. We started with some glasses of bubbly. Both our drinks were pretty flat. It was my first time trying their sparkling wines. I will not try them again. Then there was the menu. There were some great options. But two of the three chicken entrées said they were made with natural chicken. Does that mean the other entree was made with unnatural chicken? I ordered the calamari for an app and the flat iron for entrée and my date had ordered the fish and chips. The calamari wasnt bad. But it was definitely a premade app that they fried to order. A place like this you would think they would bread the calamari themselves. My steak was a bit under seasoned but cooked perfectly. I have a strong feeling the mashed potatoes were premade as well. I find it off that a restaurant would take the time to mash red waxy potatoes but not bread the calamari. My dates fish resembled fish sticks. We were very disappointed with the amount of premade frozen items we received. It did not stop there. Dessert only got worse. We tried the cheesecake, and it was chalky and the cherry sauce was bitter. Overall there was no love in the food. On the way out I noticed there were business cards for the leadership of the winery. I noticed there wasnt a card for a chef. It then it became really clear, the winery has fallen victim to the Las Cruces trap of a lack of love in the kitchen. I do think there is much potential for this establishment. Honestly I feel they need some fresh blood and to totally move to a from scratch kitchen.

We dine at you albq. location and at the las cruses location. This is the second time that we got Sheila as our wait person. She wasnt good last time and we think even worse this time. She just has a bad attitude and a challenging type personality. I wanted to buy the three 2oz. sampler and ordered it before we did anything, (ordered food). She brought our teas and waters then took our orders, (four of us).Got bread and finished it, still no wine sampler I ordered. I was in the mood and was going to order at least three different wine samplings. I went to the restroom and passed Sheila on the way back to my table - she asked what wine did I order, I said Id have to look at the menu to tell her. She went to the kitchen and didnt follow me to the table. My wife said she had just asked Sheila about my wine and said to Sheila, did you forget my husbands wine? She said no; and that is when she saw me returning from the restroom and asked what kind of wine sampler I wanted. Our meals now arrived and finally here comes my wine. No excuses, no Iam sorry no nothing. It all wasnt pleasant. My wife loves her iced tea and so dose her 90 year old mom neither one ever got asked about a refill. No mention of bread refill or water. Bad way to treat good customers.By the way, my the 2oz. samplers were half way below the white line you have on the glass to mark the 2oz. spot. We are very sad to say we will not be coming back to this location. When Danielle was alive I at least had someone I thought always listens to our comments and acted on them.

Worst experience in dining my family has ever had. In an almost empty restaurant, the manager seated an unruly toddler who drooled and threw food over the the seat on to our table and the back of our seating area. Our son was unable to relax against the seat back due to the amount of drool and filth the toddler threw there. Why in an empty restaurant would any manager sit this type of family next to three people who spent a substantial amount of money in dining? Numerous wait staff passed by our tables and saw what was occurring, but none had the common sense or decency to take care of the situation. Speaking to the manager, he felt that he had no choice but to sit the toddler family behind us, again in an empty restaurant, since "they wanted a booth"…..there were four other booths empty!! The manager could not understand our complaint and did not offer any compensation for a ruined dining experience. My family will never return to this restaurant and I recommend that no other person or family who would like a relaxing meal go to this less than stellar establishment since seating customers on top of each other makes more sense to them than giving their customers a pleasurable experience…..

My husband and I went for dinner on a friday night. It was maybe half full, but they sat us right away with a big smile, took our orders immediately and were very attentive! A man who my husband and I took as the manager walked by our booth a few times and always asked how everything was with a big smile too! Always cought us with our mouths full. My only complaint would be that, my husband and I just wanted to dine somewhere nice, were not necessarily connoisseurs of any kind, we asked what we had in our Cheese Nosh and were told the names of everything, I asked again with the most "ok but what IS it?" face I could muster and got the names again with a tone of "you should know this" and a bit of a rush, so we just brushed it off and kept eating. My husband had the chicken parm pasta and he didnt like it because it was fairly spicy, even though the menu didnt really say it was or mentioned spicy ingredients. I had the Pesto shrimp pasta and it was great! The wines were also great, we had a very good night!

Went there for lunch and had the vegetable beef soup which was super good but the waitress was not friendly at all and when going to the wine counter they said my dad and i.had to sit on the bar stools in order to sample wine and my father has a bad hip so hoping on a bar stool.would.have been uncomfortable so As i was walking out the bartender said oh its ok for u to sit here at the tables to taste wine ..I.sais no thank you I rather go to deming and sit in a comfortable chair and have my wine tasting and buy a gallon of the house wine for 12 dollars So all in all the food is good but the service is less to be.desired This is a winery bistro that has the staff acting with the mind set there in Napa Valley or Beverly Hills and even still in Beverly Hills u dont get crappy waiters or bartenders...They need to hire staff that actually have class and that are down to earth and dont have there nose in the air after all this is a desert town not an upscale area like west los angeles.
