DATE *** SATURDAY APRIL 17 TH 2010**** TIME BETWEEN 12-1 AM*** First time going there I was accompanied by my girlfriend who is Asian and Im American. At the front door there were two bouncers checking IDs One Stocky Guy Bald and Another stocky guy with a GoT. The one checked my ID and I turned around to walk inn with My Girlfriend when without even looking at her ID he said in a very cocky way she was to drunk to come in ( SHE HAD NOT DRANK ) she was dressed up nice with heels and ready to go out for some fun. I started to argue with the bouncer and you can clearly tell she was not allowed in because she was Asian or Something to do with RACISM. We walked 1 minute down the street to a bar I think called Georgia and not even with a blink we were in. DO NOT GO HERE*******************!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU ARE NOT A RACIST DONT GO TO THE GRASSHOPPER !!!! IF YOU ARE ASIAN DONT GO TO THE GRASSHOPPER !!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE NAZI VIEWS DONT GO TO THE GRASSHOPPER!!!!!!!! ***Dont trust Grasshoppers staff with any serious food allergy or intolerance.*** Staff is usually friendly... But Ive had a drunk bartender breaking glasses while trying to serve, standoffish bartenders, bathrooms not stocked with toilette paper for hours, regularly seen broken glass on the floor all night, etc. Most recently (Friday, November 25, 2016, 8 PM), somewhere between the very friendly and seemingly understanding bartender that took my order, Pauly, and the head chef that apparently confirmed my meal could definitely be prepared gluten-free without cross contamination, someone effed up and I spent the later half of my 50+ person event too sick to stay. Doubt it was intentional, but dont lie and gamble on someones health to sell a plate. Dont trust Grasshoppers staff with any serious food allergy or intolerance. Grasshopper is still a cozy, usually friendly atmosphere. Live music there is usually fun. Prices seem fair. Its very unreliable, though.

Walked into this place with friends over the weekend, had a single beer, and walked out for a cigarette. I was out by myself, so I lit up, leaned against the wall, minded my own business, put out my cigarette in the ash tower, and when I finished the bouncer informed me that I was too intoxicated to reenter the building. I thought the guy must be joking because two girls stumbling over one another walked in right next to me, but no... he was serious. I have been in the bar/restaurant business for 8 years, so I understand the bouncers have a job to do but after one beer, this seemed pretty unreasonable to me. Hire bouncers who can do their job properly without being distracted by girls in mini skirts.

DO NOT USE THE ATM!!!! Got an error message at the ATM inside, wasnt able to get any cash out, but it still charged my debit card $100. Currently fighting the charge with my bank. Use cash if you go here. Older review: If you want to hear the same songs youve heard forever (Journey, Dont stop Believing, Livin on a Prayer..), go there on a Saturday night. They must have the same CD theyve been playing for years that they pop in every Sat night. Its so predictable. Friday nights are better when they have live bands, but the Saturday nights always suck so bad.

went for dinner on 12/1 and, while the atmosphere is nice and beers are cold, service was awful and food was just as bad. we stood in the lobby for 15 minutes before anyone approached us. food and drinks were very late every step of the way from apps thru dessert. chicken wings were way too salty and did not even taste like standard buffalo wings. calamari in calamari salad was rubbery and had that "fishy"smell. dessert took so long we actually told them to forget it. after enjoying the one in wayne, was extremely disappointed by this

I mean its in Morristown, I get it....but what a dull ambient to be in. The music was all over the place and the speakers sucked. The bouncers look like they think theyre the mafia or something. Tasted a rum and coke my friend had and it was really water and coke. I wasnt expecting a NY feel, but I didnt expect this either. I wont be bothering with this place again.

drinks are ok but true there is a bald guy at door that is cousins of owners n looser ionly know how to works on a bar door, he is very racist, had a two friends who had a issue w him n sadly are friends of morristown cops so nothing will be accomplished if the issue is taken to the police, bald guy should see himself more often on mirror!

Great place to go have a burger and a beer while you watch sports and shoot the breeze in the afternoon, or to go out and get hammered with your friends at night. Combination of live bands and DJs depending on the night. Bonus: karaoke on Tuesdays. Always a good crowd and an absolutely amazing staff.

Never go here terrible staff and terrible atmosphere. Truly a modern terror of bars trying to keep pace with similar bars in Morristown that do everything it does but better, with better service. Never go here, you have plenty of other options when choosing a bar. Youve been warned...

Awesome pub with large bar space. It seems like they have a different program each night (e.g. live music, karaoke, DJ). Ive eaten here several times now and the food has also been surprisingly good. Several large TVs are usually running to watch games or the presidential debate. :)

This is a pretty typical American-Irish pub. My friends and I came here to kill some time and drink some pick-me-ups before dinner. Two of us ordered the Irish Coffee and the other two ordered a Hot Toddy. Good service, clean bathrooms (at least around 5:00pm on a Saturday).

Early dinner with the kids. The waitress was fantastic. The food was quick to deliver to the table and very tasty. Wednesday night @ 5:20. Very few people dining and the bar downstairs seemed busy. Overall, nice place.

Big space! Great for groups. There is a bar downstairs and more seating upstairs. There are a few vegan options. The veggie burger is black bean based and its delicious. Highly recommended!

This place is alright. You can meet a lot of the young crowd without it being as sketchy as some of the other bars. It does get pretty packed and loud so be aware if thats not your thing.

Love this spot. The bartenders are all friendly and the atmosphere is great. Bleu Burger or Shepards Pie are my go-to foods. Great buffalo wings too for late night snacking.

Great atmosphere, 20 oz draft beers, clean, dart boards, the bartender Crissy knows most people by name, Im not from Morristown but this Irish bar made me feel welcome.
