I would not recommend anyone play this course. My brothers were in for a golf trip to end the season and we went to High Bridge Hills on Saturday Oct2nd. The course was great, great greens and the fairways were not that wet even after 3 days of rain. We decided to book Emerson Golf Club for our Sunday round, and this was by far the worst course Ive ever played that cost over $35. Ive played some munis that were bad, but the price reflected the conditions. This course is $84 and we received a 10% discount because of aeration. What aeration means to Emerson is 10 out of 18 greens with that were absolutely unplayable. The greens were bumpy, sandy, and bare in many places due to poor aeration that occurred a month ago. The 18th green looked like someone was tilling it for the winter crop. It is the worst green I have ever played. The guy at the counter was nice enough to tell us the greens were bumpy at best, but at that point, we had no alternative place to play. The starter was a real jerk. My brother put his stand bag on his back and was walking to his cart to place it on the bag. The started immediately notified us that there was No walking before 2pm. Hes walking to his cart to put his bag, calm down dude. This place might be good in the spring, summer, but Ill never play here again even if its free.

Took my daughter there to drive and putt for practice. She plays competitively. Got through driving and starting putting. We were rudely approached by an elderly "ranger" who asked us what we were doing there and how long we would be putting because "they were going to ask him". He continued to mumble to us that we were driving then putting like it was not allowed. At first I thought it was a joke but he was quite serious. I respectfully responded but felt he was acting inappropriately. I reported him to the inside woman behind the desk who said he was "going to be talked to". Not sure if others have been approached by this disrespectful employee but my advise is to stay away from this place as to avoid this person(if he is still working there). Our nickname for him is the "red ranger".

Awful experience. First off, there was a 45 minute tee time delay due to earlier morning frost which is understandable. We were told to check in at 2, and when we got back in the pro shop, we were apparently next on the tee and had to rush. Then, they booked an outing in the middle of the day on Sunday, and it wasnt even a best ball or a scramble. Our round took 5.5 hours because there was 2-3 groups on every hole in front of us. The people at the outing were extremely rude and had no concept of pace of play. The ranger came by and diffused what could have been an ugly confrontation between the outing golfers and the random pair in my group who were fed up with what was going on. The ranger was the only good thing about this course. Definitely wont come back here.

Booked a tee-time on GolfNow as a single. When I showed up and paid the starter told me I would be joining a group of 11. He said to find the group where there are three and join them. They were at the front of the line. I drove my cart up and "Hi" in English. They said, "This is a competition. You cant play." (I think.) I went back to the starter and told him. He said that I could get a refund. I went to Pro shop and got a refund. I called later to speak with manager. The Asst. Mgr told me he was too busy to speak to me. This is a joke. I will never go there again. They suck.

This is a $35 round course so if thats what youre after (wide open, nothing special, no freaking hot dogs in the snack cart, rangers rushing you even if you havent even see the group behind you) then go here. It is not nearly worth the $85 they charge for a WEEKDAY! Theyve gotten desperate and starting throwing out LivingSocial / GroupOn deals. Read the fine print. The couple in front of us were not given the discount because they failed to mention the offer when making the reservation. Lame.

Played on a weekday morning for $50 incl cart via Golfnow. Course is decent with lots of bunkers some dog leg holes and pretty long. Greens were fast even with some rain. Overall a nice experience though I was there on a Thur with not too many other players. Threesome finished in just under 4 hrs. A negative is some holes dont seem to drain well with wet grass or pool of water at rough areas near greens. Did not affect play much though.

Course is wide open, and would be great for beginners(Which I am not) except for the marshals on the course. We were harassed constantly, told at the turn we have to speed up because we were at least 20 minutes behind(which we werent), never saw the group behind us, and finished in 4:15. I will NEVER go back. It was quite obvious they are more concerned about putting as many people out on the course as possible, than your enjoyment

I play there often and never have a problem. The fairways are wide open but the challenge is in the distance. The staff, including the rangers, are always friendly and accomodating. It is not the cheapest course to play at but I rarely have to wait. My average round is just under 4 hours. I have played other courses and had to wait much longer. To me, convenience and not having to wait are worth a few extra dollars.

I am a weekend golfer. I play at the Emerson Golf Course more than several times a year. The Course has been improved so much from last year especially the condition of the greens. The course is conveniently located and easy to get tee time at the most of the time. I have no problem with staffs. They are prompt and kinds. I like to strongly recommend to play here.

There was grass growing in the bunkers, the fairways were covered in weeds, and the greens were as long as most fairways. I spoke to some of the rangers and they informed me that everyone complains about the conditions there. Although the hotdog in the clubhouse was delicious, they will never ever see me there again... Stay Away!

Great course. Pretty flat and long. Once in a while you get a grumpy employee - se la vie. Occasionally, if playing as a single, theyll put you out in random holes w random people, but thats life. Doesnt mean you wont get your 18 in. 4 stars!

I liked it. I saw other reviews but I thought it was a decent course. I Couple holes did have greens that werent perfect, but overall I thought the greens were ok too. The guys at the pro shop were friendly, and I actually liked the rangers.

Do not play here. I played there yesterday and the course was in the worst condition ever. I think dogs can do a better job of maintainig the course. Ive played 100+ courses and this was the worst ever.
