The Gillioz Theatre is easily the best place to see a musical event (or any event for that matter) in Springfield, Missouri. Seated in downtown Springfield, there are plenty of places nearby to enjoy dinner before a show which makes it very easy to entertain friends and family for an evening. The theatre itself has been recently renovated and it looks phenomenal. The acoustics are outstanding and really bring the performances to life. The staff is friendly, courteous, and accommodating. Best of all, there is a nice bar directly connected to the theatre! So far I have seen the following acts at the Gillioz: The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Blues Traveler, Warren Haynes Band, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt. I will certainly keep coming back as it seems better acts are coming to the Gillioz all the time!

Gorgeous place, but I am writing a review for other reasons. My husband and I recently bought tickets to see a band here in Feb.; he went to the box office and bought the tickets in early Jan. Well, we noticed a credit to our account from Gillioz in the amount of the ticket price. After a little searching we found that the band had cancelled their show and Gillioz had automatically refunded the money. It was absolutely no inconvenience at all, we did not have to take back the tickets, bring back the card, talk to anyone, nothing. They just reversed the charge on our card and we got our money back. Thank you!

My husband paid $246 EACH for two tickets to see REO Speedwagon and the Gillioz didnt even have the seats! Thats right they sold us tickets for places they didnt even have! How did they make up for it? $12 worth of drink vouchers and offered us seats a good 15 rows behind where we should have been. However when my husband didnt agree they sat us in super uncomfortable plastic chairs where we should have been. Shame on you Gillioz!

This theater is historic and has lovely architecture. There isnt a bad seat in this place. I have sat in the balcony, the orchestra area and attended general admission shows here. They usually serve local beer here if you are partial to that kind of thing and offer a cash only and credit drink line options. Security is very vigilant here so be prepared to be checked . I dont mind because it makes for a safer event.

What a terrible theater! Packed in tighter than sardines, sound system was terrible. Ive heard high school garage bands with better sound. They have no curtains behind the doors so every time some hillbilly gets up for another beer the entire place is flooded with glaring light. Piss poor. If I could give less than one star, I would.

Saw Old Crow Medicine Show here. So incredibly good! This band fills big venues and we got to sit in first row balcony. The view was incredible and the crowd was jumping. Being a smaller theatre allows you to have a great seat anywhere. Going back to see Marshall Tucker. Definitely on their mailing list.

In everyone of the last 52 shows Ive attended every element of staff professionalism and sound support reflected what a listening audience would want. The venue is small enough that there isnt a bad seat with the exception of the 1st row balcony. If you have legs. What a gift to have this place so close!

We recently held an awards ceremony at the theatre for our professional organizations annual meeting. The staff was top notch, and the theatre is truly beautiful. It created a very special atmosphere for our gathering that was enjoyed by all.

Great venue, but the sound system needs a little work. George Clinton show was amazing last night, service was great, staff were friendly, venue looked great too, but the "audio experience" was heartbreaking and kinda the whole point.

We had a great time last night seeing "Asleep at the Wheel"! The theatre is wonderful, so beautiful. Comfy seating with lots more leg room then alot of other places. We have not been there before, but, will be going back again.

Beautifully restored classic theater. Friendly staff, good acoustics. It sat abandoned and boarded up for many years, so cool that it has been restored and didnt become overpriced lofts or something.... Nice place.

Great place to go see your Favorite Band, TESLA. So glad that you guys keep having them come back. Your staff worked really hard tonight to make sure that Jeff was safe as he signed stuff for us Freaks. Thank you.

The Gillioz is a very unique, landmarkish place in downtown Springfield. Their shows usually have a big name band or comedian, and I am always surprised at the quality of content they provide.

Worse than a TSA check point trying to get into the show will not be coming to this venue again and dont recommend it regardless of who is playing. Nazis!!!! ,

Very nice venue to hear a concert. Small theatre but spacious room with good seats for viewing everywhere. Seating is very cramped in the balcony.

Nostalgic theatre located in historic downtown Springfield. Take the family and go see a play. Box seats are an experience.

Very nice and clean. Venue is fairly small though and because of that can be louder than you are used too for concerts.

Beautiful venue, they should just be smarter about the shows they book, because there isnt a lot of room here.
