My girlfriend and I wanted to play some pinball and do some bowling, so when we found this place online, we thought it was perfect. We visited on a Tuesday night, and we did have a lot of fun. The bowling was great and the selection and quality of pinball machines was even better. It had been a while since we had that much fun, and it was definitely needed. The reason I, personally, cannot give the place 5 stars is because of the smokers. Every time we went in or out of the building, the smokers were right in front of the doors. Not to the side, or down the ways a bit, but right in front. To get in and out, you have no choice but to walk right through the group of smokers. As a non-smoker, this is a huge buzz kill. I cant stand cigarette smoke and certainly dont want to have to walk through a cloud of it. If they would get these guys to move off ten feet or so to the side, then I would happily give the place five stars.

Racist bartenders. There were 2 bartender, a girl and a guy, behind the bar and it was just me and my friend at the bar. It took 10 minutes before one of them decided to walk over to us(they moved to the other end of the bar) and ask us if we wanted anything to drink. Got our beers and paid the tab with tip, even though he didnt deserve it. We finished our beers and was waiting for the bartender to come over but they acted like they didnt notice and kept at their end of the bar chattering away. 15 minutes passed and still no service so we just left. A group of whole people came in at the same time as we did and sat at the tables by the bar was served almost immediately. A Hispanic guy came up to the bar and was waiting to be served but was also ignored for a few minutes also. Avoid this place ay all costs. Very poor service.

I have scheduled my daughters birthday on Saturday at this establishment. It was horrible and my mistake to book a place i have never been without reading previous reviews. I had to find bowling ball ramp for smaller kids to use, no one is there to help with any question we had other than going to the customer service guy to ask every question. I do not recommend this place for kids birthday, never ever. I suggest the owner may revisit their business model. The front desk staff are ok doing their work.

Best alley in the Twin Cities! They arent the biggest or glitziest, but they make it easy to enjoy bowling again. In this day and age of mega complex entertain centers whose primary purpose is to separate you from A LOT of money, it is refreshing to find a bowling alley like Sun Ray Lanes that offers reasonable prices in a clean, comfortable environment. Ive bowling in league there for 3 straight years and cant imagine going anywhere else to get my Bowl on!

that was my very first time going to a place to have fun and the people that worked there didnt even pretend that they liked their job which turned into poor service food service was great the girl that checked us in had poor body language a very nasty attitude and was very much interested in the drama her job may face than just doing her job overall the bowling food service was a plus but customer service was horrible

I had the most horrible time at this sunray bowling alley! First I was told happy hour didnt start until 9:30,it was only 6 o clock and I didnt even ask that anyways,clearly racist! So I bought a beer with a 100 bill to show I had $. Then I was being starred at the whole hour I was there as if I was going to rob the place,i hate this place with a passion and I will never ever come back again...ever!!!!

Horrible service. The staff are rude! I left my wallet on the table in the arcade room and started to drive home. I came back ten minutes later and the table had been cleared. There is a camera right about the table I was sitting at. When I went to talk to the boy behind the counter he said there was no wallet and nothing they can do. He walked away from me before even finishing his sentence.

I was at the bar and asked for two drinks One for me and one for my sister. They told me they only give one drink out at a time. I then had my sister go up and get us a drink and they gave her two drinks. Im not sure if she was served two drink because she was a white female and I am not but this is unacceptable. This was the worst experience Ive ever had.

Excellent, if slightly overpriced bowling alley. Friendly, helpful staff are quick to respond to comments and get you setup. Lanes are clean, food is fried to order and delicious. Good beer selection that can hit the wallet a bit hard, but overall an excellent spot to hang with friends or take the little ones for rainy day fun.

Fun place! Its nothing fancy, but it has what you would expect: bowling, greasy food, and even an arcade with incredibly old video games. When you throw in the kids bowl free deal in the summer, its well worth the price.

I love the staff at Sun Ray Lanes. They have refurbished most of the facility with more upgrades coming this summer (2016). This will be an 5-star facility when construction is complete.

It is modern and up to date. Easy access. Loys of lanes. Great leagues for everyone both summer and winter. Great cosmic bowling! I love it! Great deals on groups!

Great staff. Come in often enough and theyll remember your shoe size! It does get busy and they seem to run out of 11lb balls quickly, but just get there early.

Great place for pinball. Currently 14 machines all in excellent condition. The food is standard bowling alley fare, nothing to get excited about.
