We have been long time supporters/ticket holders of this great venue. We attended the last week of River Road Boogie - Augie Garcia Story. It was a great show - maybe the best we have seen! But with the great history of brewing beer in St. Paul (see StarTrib June 13, 2015 Variety Section), we were so disappointed that the theatres bar was supplied with beers from anywhere BUT Minnesota. We love our Minnesota beers - from Hamms; to Grain Belt; to Surly; to Summit; and dozens of others. And, we have actually brewed our own at St. Pauls Vinepark Brewing Co. With such history (see another book "Minnesota - Land of 10,000 Beers), would it be too much to ask that your provide offer the wonderful beers of Minnesota??? Our five star rating goes to the productions - but none for the beer served.

Plays are Minnesota history based and well done. Small intimate theater. On Sundays after the matinee there is a 20-minute Q and A with some of the actors playwrights directors Etc that is very interesting. Often there are people in the audience that have been directly affected by the history depicted in these plays

Nice theater once you find it. Followed directions on Google but very poorly signed on the outside of the building and actually is located inside another building that isnt related. But the performance of Orphan Train was enjoyable, educational and well done.

“History Theater Rocks” We have been to shows at the History Theater several times and have been impressed each time. Most recently was Teen Idol: the Bobby Vee story. This was s really fun show for all ages and the music & singing were very good.

Michelle was terrific! The seats were miserable. Then were extremely narrow and throws were closely packed together. Worse than most discount airlines. In reality I was in pain the entire performance until I decided to sit on the steps.

Small but mighty. "Highway men"; the story of Rondo neighborhoods struggle to survive during the construction of the I-94 gave me new appreciation for the I-94, but, mostly it opened a window into the history of Saint Paul. Great venue!

Ticket pricing has always seemed reasonable. Plays offered are typically unique and creative. Have had bad luck with drink/snack table: no ones, so I get all quarters [and change] back? Takes 3 minutes to run a credit card. What?!

This theater is a little more intimate. Every seat is front row. Ive been here twice and each time the show has been fantastic. Very professional staff. All the amenities of the big theaters.

Creative, innovative, thoughtful, delightful plays in a thrust theatre setting. Reasonable pricing and season ticket options. If its raw stages season, treat yourself!

The balcony can get incredibly hot. Be prepared to sweat if youre sitting near the top.
