A really great hang. Too bad that the city of Oakdale doesnt run concessions or anything out there anymore. Basketball hoops, a decent playground, a fishing pier, boat launch a covered area for parties, heaps of parking, and a swimming area and beach. A lot of people have concern about water quality, being so close to 3M. Theres plenty of research and information online about how much 3M and the city have worked to improve water quality across the area, INCLUDING Tanners lake. I havent found anything regarding bad water quality and, if someone has info, Id love to hear otherwise. I scoured the internet as a slightly over-cautious parent. Seems like things are good. We love to snorkel in the swim area and watch the sunnies nibble our toes.

Kids Play The Most

The playground is great for the kids and super close to the beach. The beach is usually very clean. The water is actually pretty clean as well (for a lake, ya know). There is only one grill but they have SEVERAL picnic tables so it is great for a birthday party or small get together. There is also a fishing dock and sme great walking paths. All around really great beach and VERY family friendly.

Its clean, spacious, has a beach, fishing pier, boat launch, kids park, tennis courts, basketball courts, a newly renovated and lighted softball and baseball field. Im partial, though. It is 1 block from my home.
