Lots to do for all ages !! Take a walk across the river on a well populated area for being on the river downtown lots of information on Minneapolis next to the Hennepin Ave bridge on the west side of the bridge the same side the federal reserve is on walking down from the reserve to the banks of the river lots of history on how the downtown became overtime!! But you really got to see downtown from either Nicolette island or from somewhere in the Hennepin father bluffs Park fun for most all ages you can explore new areas old areas play games Ive been going to this spot for more then 20 yrs when I first started my downtown exploitation it all started with mostly The abandoned Gold Metal Flour building right of the river and is a very historical spot also to me it was its history and the murals that was painted by some of the best graffiti artists Ive ever seen on anything in person so for two years thats all we did was exploring Gold Metal Flour all areas from the top of the lit up sign on top with Gold all lit up and enjoying watching fireworks on the 4th of July right next to river to the basement in tunnels that got smaller and smaller that just ended up going to a sewer or somewhere we couldnt fit just about every inch was seen and enjoyed of this building that burned down a long time ago neat less to say after that we kinda just hung out all up and down the river from Minneapolis to St.Paul for the downtown areas under the stone arch bridge you will catch just about anything thats in the river except walleyes on there up stream about 5 miles up stream you can catch some walleyes but under the bridge is a really good spot if you like the downtown lifestyle and dont mind a nice fight or size with my favorite fish to fish for carp or catfish and an occasion youll get a northern pike or bass if your lucky but rarely youll leave without 1-2 fights with the carp or catfish they also got a block full of bars/restaurants right next to where youll park to get there so theres something always going on down there or you can always take some of my advice and really make a day that dont cost much at all a can of oatmeal or corn and liver for fishing under 5 bucks and parking depending on where or how you get there the buses are pretty good at getting you kinda close without a far walk to get there I would have to say for sure !!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE SPOTS OF ALL TIME FOR all the DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS only 1 ACTIVITY that tops everything and if you are here in the DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS Area youll have to see the Nicolette Island or anywhere by the (Stone Arch Bridge, Central Ave bridge also known as 3rd Ave, or Hennepin Ave bridge also but all the action and fun will be on Main Street along th river with all sorts of different things to do all day long you can be there with stuff for the kids to be busy all day waiting for the fireworks if you like the downtown area this is the best place to be always in my heart and mind sorry if I repeated or went on to long about this gen of a spot that really gets overlooked a lot and needs more attention for why its there and all the history with the whole area from Hennepin to the stone arch bridge

If you have an hour or so to kill and you are in the area go visit the stone arch bridge. There is a lot of history near here. There are various monument and special interest markers with history for people to read. On one side of the bridge you have downtown Minneapolis (Guthrie, Mill City Museum) on the other side you have places to eat and a great movie theater. If you dont want to pay for parking (which isnt too expensive anyways) go up to Marcy Holmes neighborhood between 4th and university. The street parking should be free! It is about two blocks to walk so not very far. I go here at least once a month or so to bike or just walk around! Check out the stone arch bridge festival in the summer!

Walked down the bridge with my husband and some friends what an absolutely wonderful seen. Coming from Stillwater with the high tides during the different seasons I was not too familiar with the area. But the wedding was in the area so we got to check it out before heading out. It seemed like it could have definitely been either a fancy location to visit our very touristy. Ive always been so proud of our hometown but the Minneapolis and greater Twin-Cities sure have a lot to offer. I notice plentiful of historical things going on. One of the main highlights of this area.

Its a bridge, a park, and part of an industrial history museum. Great place to see the bustle of the city without getting inundated by the crowd. On a sunny, summer, Friday afternoon there were hundreds of folks but nobody whizzing by uncaring or plodding along inattentive to their surroundings. Benches free with some used for a quick snack or respite; people just enjoying the day in a safe spot for all.

One of the top places to take out of town guests. We park on the north side, walk across the bridge (great views of downtown!) and then spend some time @ the Guthrie and Mill City. Its a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon and something that everyone always enjoys. We go a couple times a year even by ourselves. The festival in the summer is great as well!

This is a beautiful bridge, and highly recommended if you;re in the area. The stone architecture is really cool, but it still seems very sturdy and modern on the top. Watch out for bikers, though. There are 4 lanes on the bridge, two for walkers and two for bicycles. The bikers can come up very fast, so keep your eyes peeled so you dont get run over.

Feels magical to walk over. A great place to take photos or get exercise. In the heart and early history of Minneapolis. Its important to learn about the indigenous history of the area and remember it was and is a sacred spot before settlers industrialized the area. Some of the natural beauty and energy is still very much present.

The bridge somewhat reminds me of pictures of old brick/stone bridges in Europe. It also gives you good views of St Anthony Falls, Mill Ruins Park, the Mississippi river and the Minneapolis skyline. Watch out for cyclists, especially if you have kids. Go the Mill Ruins Park to get good views from below and beside the bridge.

I am an attorney so I have worked with many lawyers and know many in all specialties. I chose Mr. Ruce to put our estate plan together. He was outstanding. He was thorough, and efficient. My wife commented when we were finished that she appreciated that he explained everything and was really a nice guy.

The Stone Bridge is lovely! Its a beautiful sight to see how we pump water from the Atlantic Ocean up to each lock on the canal and force all that water underground to keep the Superior, Michigan, Huron and other seas full in addition supplying all the water to Canada for oil sands projects.
