I have been coming to Sterling Friendly Lanes (yeah right, friendly) since it opened I think in the seventies. I was on a league in 1975 so I know it was then or before. Its hard to believe that I take my children there and the manager, a man in his 70s was so rude to us that he was being verbally abusive and its not the first time. He insulted the hell out of me and humiliated me in front of my kids (one is special needs) just because the free bowling coupon (that they sponser and advertise) I brought in didnt agree with the hours and prices he had scribbled on a dry erase board behind the counter. The man berated me excessively, loudly and insulted me for not reading the microscopic blurry print at the very bottom of the coupon that I printed at home on my not so great printer. I told him its a clear case of false advertising. All I can say is father time will heal the problem at that place because that old fart needs to retire badly. Hes got rage control issues to the max if something so petty can set him off who knows what his poor family went through with him.

To start out it was very outdated. Then me and a friend got the special which was 10.95 for all you can bowl. We payed and got put on a lane. As we were putting our shoes on we got a very important text and we realized we could only stay for about a half hour. We kindly ask the man at the counter if we could change it to 2 games instead of the unlimited rate. He proceeded to tell us it was too late and we could not change it and he would not give a refund. Thats not even the worst of it the first lane we were put on the screen wouldnt even turn on for us to enter our names. So he proceeded to put us on another lane, oh I forgot to mention I dont think they have oil the lanes in at least a month. Would not recommend going here!

I have bowled in a lot of different houses. But since coming over to Sterling lanes I have had the best service from them. The entire staff will make you feel at home. They greet you coming in and leaving. And the are great with setting a family up for a fun night bowling. And the other nice feature is the pro shop were they dont just try to sell you a bowling ball they want to know your needs for that new ball and show all pros and cons on what you are buying. Even after your ball is done they would like you to take and throw the ball a few times before leaving with it. If an adjustment is needed they are on it. Steve is is a great guy to work with when considering a new ball. Thank to the whole crew at sterling lane,s

Pretty old. Mainly very unhappy with management. Here (on Google) it says its open until midnight; so I called and they said they had open bowling from 10:45 until midnight. I walked at night in the rain in a rain jacket with a few friends to the alley. The door says open until 11 "or later" whatever that means, and it was locked. So I called and asked why the door was locked. Who I spoke to said the other employee may have misquoted (no he made a mistake, might as well said he was giving alternative facts...) And instead of asking to compensate us after I explained, it says here it is open untill midnight and spoke to someone and they also confirmed, he just said thanks for letting him know....

Worst experience Ive ever had... the rudest and crappiest staff and customer service ... terrible food... over oiled lanes... went there to have a good time with friends (3 of which left almost immediately due to the rude and crappy service the manager provided)... everyone that stayed left in a horrible mood from the shady employees and pathetic excuse of a manager. Literally every single person that came swore they would never come back to that place ever again. I would strongly recommend you stay away from this place. Even if bowling was free at these lanes I would NEVER return. Completely appalled and disgusted by this bowling alley and every single member of their staff.

We chose this location for the kids bowl free summer program and what a great pick. I took the kids and their friends several times over the summer and we never had a bad encounter. It doesnt look very impressive from the outsise, i have to say i was pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly, the inside is updated, clean, and spacious. There is a separate banquet area. They have 6lb balls behind the counter. The concession stand is decently priced. There are a lot of tables to sit and eat. They had good hours for open bowling as well as leagues.

With the closures of nearby Sunnybrook and Pampa Lanes, Sterling Lanes has become the bowling alley where there isnt many bowling alleys. While the bowling industry is shrinking, Sterling seems to be bucking this trend by modernizing its concept, which includes a newer seating and bar layout, HD screens for all lanes, and newer pinsetters & ball returns. The friendly staff, cleanliness, location, comfortable atmosphere, and very reasonable prices make Sterling Lanes an ideal place for a fun night out.

I bright my children, ages 6 and 2, at 4:30pm on a Friday. There were other families bowling while we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful - setting up the bumpers amd finding a ramp for us to us. The three of us bowled two games and rented shoes for less than $20, so the price was great. Clean interior, equipment in good repair. Recommned this for families or others looking for a couple hours of fun.

The Bartender that used to work at thunderbird lanes was fabulous.... The guy that was working at the counter (name tag said supervisor) is clearly trying to sabotage this business with unprofessionalism and an inability to give good customer service. As long as he is working there, this bowling alley will continue to drift deeper into a shell of what it used to be. Just an awful experience

We got there on Saturday 6/10/17, and the dude told us they were planning to close early AFTER we had purchased our game. Couldnt get a refund cause I used debit, only 3 free games. Biggest complaint is the fact that they decided to tell us they were planning to close early after I paid. We wouldnt have bought any games if that was the case cause we were waiting for others to get there too.

Had my baby shower there about a month ago and was super disappointed. I felt like I was in a storage room. They didnt even empty the garbage can before we came in. Lots of fruit flies grossed me out and the salad we paid $30 for was just lettuce and a few cucumbers. We were treated so well when we signed the papers for this room, but after that we were given poor service and an attitude.

League days are VERY busy! The lanes are smooth and great to bowl on and their prices (at least during weekdays when I tend to go) are the best in the area, hands down. Their food is a tad bit pricey but its pretty good. Parking spaces are plentiful and the staff is pretty nice for the most part.
