The lanes themselves are in great shape, one of the nicer bowling alleys in the metro Detroit area ( trust me Ive seen it all ). Typically pretty clean, bathrooms are kind of iffy at times. DO NOT PLAY ANY OF THEIR VENDING GAMES. It will steal your money and the staff refuses to refund you 50 cigarettes cents. Oh and if you arent a smoker or smoke really bothers you the door way is typically crowded with 2-3 people smoking cigarettes outside just a warning if your allergic to cigarette smoke this is not the place for you. DO NOT COME ON MONDAY NIGHT!! and ALWAYS CALL TO SEE IF THEY HAVE OPEN LANES!! ( HIT EXT #4 to skip the prompt!! ) if you dont there are so many dang leagues you wont be able to get a lane. So, when you walk in you head to the counter to pay for your games and get bowling shoes. Typically there is a staff member there, but too many times Ive sat there for 5-10 mins just waiting for someone to assist me. I dont know why you wouldnt have 2 people on shift working the counter, even if its slow there has to be someone else besides the cashier to deal with technical issues. The staff is typically quite pleasant, except one time this woman with glasses worked the counter she was so rude about the vending machine. I told her she should put up an out of order sign she says Well its not our money were not responsible So little kids wanting to play the crane game get gipped out of there 50 cents and you dont do anything about it? Thats like actually taking candy from a baby literally. So after you get your games you grab a ball if you dont have your own. One thing thats really great about this bowling alley is that they have balls from 7 to like 14 or 16 and they have finger sizes; small, medium and large. Theyre pretty standard balls but theyre almost hidden to the right of the counter. Next you hit the right or left lane button for what lane youre on and enter your name etc. -Usually a waitress will approach and ask you if you want any food or drink- before you say yes heres a *WARNING* a large diet pepsi will be a whopping FOUR dollars. They have a little cafe type thing where its like the movie theater except twenty times worse because youre actually hungry and chicken tenders are like 6 or 7 $ . Food quality? meh I probably wouldnt stray from getting something simple like a mini pizza, I dont know how much I really trust a place where theres no real kitchen... oh it closes at like 10 or 11 pm too. Just eat and call AMF before you come and youll be set. The beer is decent, better then most beer on tap from bowling alleys. Its a nice environment, a place where you can bring kids during the day or go out with the buddies play a few games and have a drink. BEWARE that if you dont complete all your games by close say bye-bye to your money because they wont refund it and theyll turn off the lane. SO REMEMBER! Eat and call before hand! Watch what you spend on drinks! Also the price per game varies on the day

When AMF (American Machines and Foundry) it looked like Rosebowl lanes would suffer the same slow death as AMF was about to do for Harley motorcycles. We had a league there and because of rude, ignorant, or just plain uncaring staff we had to leave. The biggest incident was that we were a Sunday noon league of 10 teams and one day about half way into the first game, lanes 3 to 10 went dark. Although it seemed like it was an accident, when we asked them to bring up what we had bowled from the backups, the lady behind the counter said we can just start over. Ive never heard of something so ludicrous. It took them over 30 minutes to recover what we had bowled after someone was called after we had to threaten to not pay. We left and went to Pampa Lanes and are quite happy.

After my last experience here I will not be bowling here with my family or league. Bowled last night on lanes 11 & 12 my whole team and opponents teams bowling balls got chewed up by the return. They did offer to fix our equipment, but any experienced bowler knows epoxy on a chip changes the flow and spin of a bowling ball. If it was just one ball that got damaged thats understandable things do happen from time to time, but to not offer any sort of discount or free replacement equipment is poor business.

Clean environment food was decent but very expensive small portions as stated in previous reviews. Its true. They only had one cook took the food long time to come. Come after 8 p.m. you make it sort of a discount. They dont tell you that up front. Waitress at the bar very nice. All and all wont be back.

Apparently they were short staffed this evening during a league night which meant that there would ZERO waitstaff on the west side of the bowling alley, lanes 1-22. Management never corrected the issue.

Waited more than 10 for someone to show up so we could buy a game. 2 employees passed us saying "someone will be right with you" no one ever showed up so we left, we will never go back

Nice lanes.....just wayyyyyyyy over crowded now and they inflated their places to go right along with the influx of costumers since fountain view and Apollo lanes closed.

Great house to bowl at and a courteous staff. Only complaint is the lack of vending machines for a beverage. You are forced to utilize the over priced food court.

Bad customer service. Certain lanes have chipped and destroyed peoples personal bowling balls and nothing has been done to fix the lanes.

Clean and well maintained Lanes. Bar is really nice and food is delicious. The leagues are nicely run and its definitely a fun place.

The manager is very nice. They worked with my Special Olympic athletes practice our bowling there and are great with them.

Too expensive to bowl here. Cost us $36 to bowl 6 games with two shoe rentals.
